N. E. N. POV

I looked at the scene before me.

Leorio was dumb enough to come back to fight Hisoka, which led to him being knocked out. Of course, Hiroe and Gon came in and attacked, Gon using his fishing rod and Hiroe coming right after to check on Leorio.

But when Gon started to get chocked by the creepy man, Hiroe subconsciously used the power I gifted her of.

Interesting. She was supposed to use it starting on the third or fourth phase, but she activated it before. Maybe Hisoka's bloodlust made it faster since he is pretty powerful.

Her secret power, it healed Leorio's swelled cheek, removing the huge bump and the purple colouring.

She stood up, head low, then sent a piercing glare towards the clown currently chocking her friend.

"You," she said in a creepy, low voice.

Hiroe wasn't there anymore. Her second personality had taken over.

A cold, heartless and powerful personality.

In a mere second, she moved from Leorio to Hisoka's back, hitting him hard behind his neck.

Of course, the clown is too powerful to be down by one blow – though the hit made him let go of Gon, allowing the young boy to breathe.

"Hmm?" Hisoka showed his interest in the young girl's power, "you may be already ripened, young girl."

"Hiroe!" Kurapika yelled, coming back, "get away from him!"

The Hiroe we all know well came back to her senses, confused and scared.

The nen from before disappeared, passing from 100% to 0% in only a few milliseconds, like what happened a few seconds ago was just in our imagination.

"Huh?" Looking around, she saw Gon on the floor, painfully standing up.

"Gon! Are you all right?" Concern was written all over her face, and she crouched to help him stand.

Hisoka took a step forward, and Hiroe tried to pull Gon away from the clown as she took a step back, clutching on Gon's arm.

"Fascinating," the red-haired creep let out as he examined the girl, coming closer an closer.

He stopped about a meter away from the children. He then leaned in, whispering into Hiroe's ear.

Her golden eyes widened a bit, and Hisoka left.

"You all passed," he started, "I assume you'll be able to find your way back," he said, looking towards Gon

The boy nodded, and the clown placed Leorio over his shoulder before leaving the dead corpses of some applicants behind.

Kurapika approached and asked both children if they were all right, which they replied to with a quick "yeah."

The way to the second phase was pretty much in silence. None of them bothered to talk, as they were all trying to figure out what happened. A wall suddenly came into view, and a bunch of applicants were hanging out there, catching their breath or just mentally preparing themselves for the next phase.

A loud yell was heard when the group of three entered the opening, making a huge difference with the heavy silence that flew over the place a few seconds ago only.

"HIROE!" This was none other than Kotono, relieved to see her little sister safe and sound.

The older sibling gave Hiroe a bone-crushing hug as she asked her a thousand and one questions.
