“Sorry.” I started. Naramdaman kong tumabi siya sakin. Pareho kaming nakahawak sa railings ng rooftop. Pinapakiramdaman ang isa’t isa.

“Sorry. Sorry for being such a bitch these past few weeks. Or should I say a monster.”

“Alex surely made you a monster.”

“Nasaktan ako Sam. Sobra. He’s my fucking first love. My fucking first kiss. My fucking first heartbreak. He killed every bits of me when he broke up with me. You of all people should understand. Akala ko kasi maiintindihan mo ko.”

“Naiintindihan kita Cass. Ako pa ba? Pero bestfriend kita and as much as I hate to break it to you, I have to. You’ve gone worst. Bestfriend mo ko, can you blame me if Im fucking concerned about you?!”

Tears came rushing through my eyes. How can I doubt the intentions of my bestfriend? Ganun ba ko nabulag ng galit ko.

“Im s-sorry.”

“Forgiven.” She pulled me and gave me a hug.

She is really my better half.

 

“So you’ll stop bitchin’ around with other guys?” She asked me the moment we stopped hugging each other.

I looked at the city. Ang ganda at ang aliwalas dito. Napansin ko pa talaga yun kahit nagiiyakan na kami? Hahaha!

“Yes. That Ethan! Tinakot ba naman ako na iiwanan niya ko pag di ako tumigil sa pakikipaglandian sa boy toys ko.”

“At napasunod ka niya? Dahil lang tinakot ka niyang iiwanan ka niya?”

“Ofcourse. I cant lose Ethan. No, not Ethan. Si Ethan nalang yung natitirang tama sa buhay ko simula nung... alam mo na.”

She nodded. “Wow. Hands down na ko kay Ethan. Siya lang pala makakapagpabalik sayo sa dati.”

I faced her. “Sam, di na ko babalik sa dati. Eto na ko eh. Pain changes people. Sure, di na ko makikipaglandian sa boy toys ko. I’ll drop each and everyone of them like a hot potato. Pero yung bitchiness ko, I dont think mawawala yun. Though I’ll try to lessen.”

“Okay, pwede na yan. Good na yan! Basta, bawasan mo ha. Hahahaha.”

“Try. Hahaha.”

“Whatever. Namiss kita bitch! Pahug nga!”

We hugged at nung pababa na kami bigla niya kong inintriga.

“So you and Ethan?”

“Uh, dating? No. Nanliligaw palang siya.”

“Ohhh. May pag-asa naman ba?”

“Oo naman noh! Hahaha! Pakakawalan ko pa ba yun? Eh nakakaadik kaya yung lips niya. Hahaha.”

“You two kissed? Again?” Her face, it was priceless.

“Hahaha your face is priceless. Yes Sammy and I lost count already. We kissed, alot. And you’ll see more of that soon. Well going back, the first was after the biggest breakup of the year. Hahaha. Remember nung nag-Batangas kami, I was drunk and yeah. I started kissing him and undressing him. Good thing he stopped me.”

“He respects you that much bessy.” She said.

“Yes, I know that. Im still lucky, am I?”

“Yeah. You are. Im happy for you and Ethan.”

“Hahaha para namang kami na kung maka-react to. Tsaka na yan te, pag sinagot ko na.” I joked her. Hahaha. Maka-Im happy for you naman kasi. Baliw tong bestfriend ko.

Bago kami makapasok ng room, hinigit niya ulit ako at niyakap.

“Oh?”

“Sorry pala kung nasampal kita nung isang gabi.”

“I deserve the slap.”

“But still, sorry.” Sabi niya.

“Forgiven but not forgotten. Hahaha kidding. Tara na! Masyado na tayong madrama.”

Pagdating ko sa chair ko, which is sa tabi ni Ethan at sa likod ko naman si Alex, nakita kong may bouquet ng tulips sa chair ko.

Ethan surely knows me kaya tulips ang binigay niya. Simula kasi nung nagbreak kami ni Alex. Ayaw ko ng makakita ng roses. Ayaw ko na kumain ng carbo. Ayaw ko na magstay sa bahay. Basta, lahat ng may memories ni Alex ayoko na. Si Calex, pinatapon ko na kay Yaya.

I looked at Ethan who’s smiling at me. “Thank you.” And I kissed him.
