Chapter Fourteen
= LOUIS' POV =
Who is the 32nd United States president?
Why do we need to learn these things?
How does this benefit our lives?
I don't think this will come out when I go for a job interview in the future.
We're not even in America! Screw that, we're not even Americans! Shouldn't we learn something like who's the first queen of England?
The professor kept rambling on even if half of the class is more interested with the air ducts on the ceiling. The lights are off and the professors standing behind me so that stops me from falling asleep.
How long has it been? I swear class shouldnt last this long. I'm guessing he went pass the time. That wouldn't surprise me, actually. We were warned last year that this guy would go over the time. He's probably one of the students in high school who hated school too because of a teacher who extends his or her class so basically he's taking it all out on us. That has always been my theory with teachers who extend too much.
"Now we discuss-"
Half of the class groaned and I can't help but grin.
"Discuss the American Movement on Monday."
The lights went back on. Not a minute later, the room was already empty. "Perfect way to end the week." I hear Zayn grumble from behind me.
"You don't say, huh?" I ask him as I slip my jacket on. Luckily we don't have any practice today. The whole week has been a hell lot of practicing. There's a game in 2 weeks and I can only imagine how horrible next week would be. I haven't seen Meg in a week so that's something. thanks to good ol' coach for ending practices at 9PM?
Yeah it's not like we have a life after class or anything. This is a sarcastic remark, alright?
I've spoken to her through the phone at night but it's totally different when I'm with her. It's always quick when we talk because school's taking up all of our time. Even her. Last night she said she's working on this report on Rome.
"Hey Lou, have you spoken to Meg recently?" Harry asks as we exit the building.
"Not yet, no. How come?" I ask him.
"Milly said she hasn't gone to school for three days. They haven't talked either so she thought you knew." He says. I shake my head but dismiss the thought away. We've been talking every night and she made it sound like everything was fine. I planned on seeing her today and after hearing about her absence, I'm definitely seeing her today. But first...
"So you and that little blue haired girl, huh?" I tease him.
"You mean Milly?" He asks, a bit stupidly actually. Who else do we know is small and has blue hair?
"You know the answer to that. But I need an answer to my question." I say.
"I... She... I don't know. We never took anything seriously but it's starting to feel.. Different?" He says with a lot of doubt.
"Good different or bad different?"
He shrugs. "Good I think. I can't tell."
"there's a pull between you two or... Someone's ripping you apart?" I ask him.
"I'm really unsure about that." He says with a chuckle.
I scoff and look down at my feet. "You're always unsure. So when will you break it to us that Milly's actually your girlfriend?" I snap at him.
