The cold water seemed to freeze your body, the pressure on your head keeping you down, you heard screaming through the water, you were screaming loud enough to hear yourself through the water. You heard laughing, insane laughing that seemed to echo. Your desperate attempts to break to the surface were weakening as water entered your lungs and your vision went blurry. And the last thing your heard and your body went limp and your vision was lost, was that insane laugher that filled the air, and even the water.

You suddenly wake up, screaming at the top of your lungs. You jump up and instantly feel like the darkness of the room was consuming you, you feel tears fall down your face like waterfalls. You curl up into a ball and burry your face in your knees.

Suddenly the sound of the door opening as well as a panicked voice saying your name was heard. You instantly look up to see the same face you woke up to when you magically came back to life. You began to cry even more, feeling a sense of panic.

"Hey, calm down, what's wrong?"

His usual self was completely gone, no laughing or the tone that made it sound like he as holding back laugher, it was a serious tone for once.

"There was water... a-and I couldn't breathe and I-I was being pushed and held down there and there w-was someone laughing and... and I didn't want to die! I was scared b-but I couldn't do anything!" You blurted out in a panicked tone.

The mysterious man pulled you into his arms where you buried your face into his shirt and cried.

"Shhh, calm down, it was all just a dream. It's in the past, your safe here" he said as he ran his fingers through your hair.

You tried to calm down but it was no use, you were in full on panic mode. He put his hands on your shoulders and looked you in the eye. You managed to get a good look at him through the darkness. He was in plain black clothes, and his hair was tied up, half of his fringe was covering his eyes, but one eye was visible, it seemed to glow a bright neon green. It seemed... mesmerising...

As you looked into his eyes you began to calm down, your breath when from hyperventilating to steady. He smiled at you through the darkness, not his usual almost eerie smile, a softer and more genuine one.

"You'll be ok, nothing's going to hurt you here"

You slowly nodded in understanding, finally realising that everything was just a dream, or more a flashback. This hadn't happened before, the whole time you'd been with him and been alive again, you'd slept soundly. It made you wonder if this was just a one time thing or if it would keep happening, you hoped it didn't keep happening.

He pulled you back into his arms and gently rubbed your back.

"You're alright, nothing's hurting you" he reassured you.

"I don't want that to happen again" you said quietly as tears still fell.

"It won't, I promise you'll be ok"

It was actually rather odd to see him like this, so genuine, not joking around or having giggle fits like usual. It wasn't a bad thing, just unusual.

"Is that what was happening when you died?" He asked.

You nodded.

He wiped away your tears with his sleeve and took your hands in his.

"It won't happen again, don't you worry"
