You look at your phone as you lay in bed, scrolling through your old friends' account on your favorite social media app,more like most frequently used. You tortured yourself knowing you guys didn't talk and they probably didn't give a damn about you anymore...it's a surprise they didn't block you, or they forgot to. It's not that you guys had a fight, you just ended it out of nowhere and they were pretty upset..

After your morning hygiene routine, you pick out something from the little closet in the dorm;you finally finished unpacking so it's pretty easy to find something. You pick out a sweater that's your favorite color along with a nice design on it and just some jeans, nothing special..you usually dressed warm even though it wasn't very cold outside but you get really cold easily so it's best to stay warm. You put on your favorite pair of shoes that go with your outfit. You leave the room and head to the main building for your classes today. You notice Kate conversating with two other girls in the hall, you approach quietly. Kate turns her head to you and smiles,she waves as she continues to listen to the girl with short brown hair. Once the girl is done speaking she looks at you,
"Hi. Are you new..here?" She asks

"Y..yea. My name is (y/n).." you smile

"Nice to meet you, I'm Max and this is my friend," she points at the blue haired girl beside her "Chloe."
Chloe flashes a grin in your direction

"Class is starting soon for you guys so I suppose I should..go."

"Oh you don't have class yet?" you're a bit confused

"Um..well..I don't have class ever really. I've been expelled from Blackwell, I'm not even really supposed to be here." she slightly smirks

"Oh." you softly reply

"I'll see you after class then.." Max replies as Chloe turns to leave. She waves at you guys as she disappears down the hall. The bell rings for you to get to class.

"I'll see you later Max, it was nice meeting you." you smiled

"You too, (y/n) I hope to get to know you soon." she smiles and you part ways with Max and Kate and head to Mr.Jefferson's class. You enter the class and notice you're one of the few early ones, you walk to your seat and plop down..waiting for class to start. You look at the empty seat next to you,you kind of hope he'll show up soon so you have someone to talk to..even if he is a little mean and rude..he's pretty okay.
Nathan finally arrives close to the bell and sits beside you, for some reason you expect him to start a conversation but he doesn't even look at you, he puts his head down..he doesn't look good...
"Um..Nathan..are you alright?"

"Sure whatever, I'm fine. Why are you asking?" he looks at you with a slightly angered expression, annoyed by your question or just the fact you're talking to him

"You just look upset.."

"Forget it..I'm..fine," his expression softens a bit and he sits back in his seat "Are you still interested in the get together I mentioned..?"

"Yea..when is it?"

"Tomorrow,starts at 7..it's at the school pool."

"oh..um..a pool party?" you're a bit concerned

"duh. anyways you don't have to come..I thought you were the one who wanted friends.."

"I..well..um," you fall silent before answering "Yes..I..I'll be there." you nervously smile at him

"cool..or whatever."
the conversation ends there and the bell rings. Mr Jefferson gives a bit of additional information about the project that you paired with Nathan for before he goes to sit at his desk. You look at Nathan,
"So about the project--"

"I think we should focus on making it..personal and making it mean something, which sounds cheesy but I know Jefferson would grade it well.."

"Yea..plus it may help us to..understand one another?" you suggest

He looks less enthusiastic ,if that were even possible, after you said that
"sure,whatever." he shrugs and goes silent. You feel dumb for saying it now..

The bell rings and Nathan quickly gets up and leaves, maybe you came on way too strong..? Too strong for him at least. You sigh and gather your things and leave; returning to the comfort of your dorm room..Photography is the only class you had today so you don't have any other plans. You sigh and plop down onto your bed, closing your eyes and letting your body relax. trying not to think too much about how awkward you made things with Nathan.
