You ate with your parents and Warren, you had lied and told your parents that Nathan had a family emergency he needed to be at. Warren knew the truth though. You kept your phone in hand as you tried to text and call Nathan but you never got any replies and it was as if he was declining your calls. Your parents had agreed to take you and Warren back to your school once you were finished, you were supposed to be having a good time with them but you couldn't help but think about Nathan. You couldn't help but think about why you couldn't say 'i love you' back to him, why you couldn't even imagine saying that to him. You felt awful, you were completely at fault...that's what you felt at least.

"Hey, uh..I'm gonna talk to (Y/N) alone a bit if that's okay. I think she's worried about Nathan and his family emergency..." Warren lied to your parents as he stood from the blanket and helped you up with him. You made sure you were far away from the two.

"S..sorry. I know I should be more involved I'm just...worried."

"Worried about what?"

"Worried that I fucked things up...I wasn't even thinking," you felt your eyes sting as your vision blurred through the tears, "He's told me before..time and time again...and I could never say it back, even when it mattered the most. But, I say it to you just fine."

"You say it to me because our relationship is different and not...romantic in any way so you don't have to worry about love and stuff. It's not your fault, (Y/N). He's just an insecure rich kid." Warren sternly replies

"Warren!" you look at him;shocked that he could even say that, "Are you serious? There's nothing wrong with being insecure...I certainly don't blame him..you shouldn't either."

"Why shouldn't I when he's hurting you right now?" he continues to be stern and stubborn

You scoff,
"I can't with this right now, I can't with you. Tell my parents I'm ready to go.." you took a deep breath and wiped your eyes as you tried to compose yourself; you turned away from them so they wouldn't see you cry even in the slightest....

You walked into the boys' dorm with an upset Warren...you couldn't tell if he was angry or what but you didn't care. It wasn't Nathan's fault that he wishes for you to say it back, it wasn't his fault that he was insecure and scared...you were too. He could still say he loved you though. But you? You couldn't and that made you feel like the biggest sack of shit ever. You didn't even know why you were so afraid but..you were. You pounded on his door as you continued to call...nothing. He wasn't in his dorm and he wasn't answering his stupid phone and that made you even more afraid. You closed your eyes, trying to keep your composure.

"I'm..sorry. We'll find him, just please don't cry," Warren hated seeing you upset..he'd do anything to make it stop..he'd even apologize for saying something he meant, "Let's go to my room. I'll try to call him too..he doesn't have my number." Warren suggested and you nodded as you took patient, long breaths. You followed behind him down the hall to his room.

"We haven't even dated for a month and I've already messed it up." you scoff as you sit on Warren's bed

"You didn't. I got resources..I'll....see if anyone has seen him. Just..explain to him..maybe it's time you tell him everything." Warren sat at his computer and began to type, probably messaging his so called  'sources'.

"What do we do then..?"

"Wait..? I don't know..." he shrugs
you sighed at his reply and flopped back onto his bed.
. . . .
Seconds had passed...then minutes...then hours. You couldn't help but worry...what if he went back to that other girl? She had strong feelings for him...you could tell. Maybe she could say it. Maybe she could tell him how she loved him. You wanted to cry. You wanted to break down and give up but..you cared about him too much. You....lov--

"Maybe he went to this party! There's a party at the pool..a Vortex Club party!" Warren finally exclaimed, probably glad he was onto something

"No...no. He said that he wanted to better himself and that he would stop hanging out with them...I'll just keep texting him." you pulled out your phone but Warren quickly took it from your hands

"It's worth a shot because texting him isn't doing a thing," he hands your phone back, "Let's go." he walks toward the door

You sigh and follow behind,
"Sorry..I know you have class in the morning, you don't have to come."

"I'm not letting you go by yourself, there's no telling what kind of creeps are there." he weakly smiles at you. You guys walk to the pool on campus. The blaring music and trashed solo cups outside is enough to worry you. You watch as people stumble around the building before Warren escorts you inside. You were certain that the two of you didn't look like you belonged but that didn't stop you from pushing through the crowd.

"Oh..it's you." a voice slurred, you turned to it to see Victoria as she held a solo cup in hand. Whatever she was drinking was definitely not punch.

"Hey..have you seen..Nathan?" you shyly asked

"Ha!" she exclaimed before laughing , "He didn't tell you he was coming here?"

"I...that's.." you didn't know what to say, but you felt like crying again.

"It's none of your business. Is he here or not?" Warren stood up straight as he sternly asked, this was the first time you've seen him stand up like this...

"I haven't seen him lately but..he's here," Victoria looked Warren up and down before looking at you, "He must really be in love with you, he came in here like a sad little puppy. He wouldn't even let me touch him, he's real loyal to you. Let me guess...you hurt him?" she laughed

"I..." you sighed, you felt even worse

"Thanks for nothing.." Warren sighed and grabbed you arm to pull you away

"Let's...let's split up.." you quietly said, knowing you'd break any second now and you didn't want Warren to see you like that.

"I don't think that's--"

"It's fine. I have my phone."

Warren looked as if he was thinking about it before giving in and nodding reluctantly. The both of you split up into the crowd and continued looking for Nathan. You found a gap where it wasn't as crowded, you sighed in defeat. You pulled out your phone and tried to call his phone, you felt yourself tearing up as it dialed. You quickly perked up as you heard his phone ring, it was coming from the bathroom you stood near....the boy's bathroom. You didn't want to go in but you opened the door and stormed in.

"Nathan, please tal--" you felt your heart drop at the sight of Nathan sprawled out on the floor, you hurried to his side and knelt down to him. His skin was pale and cold,
"N..nathan?" you shook him, you quickly noticed a pill container in his hand. It was almost empty as the rest were spread out on the floor.
"Shit. Nathan!" you quickly put your ear to his chest...his heartbeat was slow. You felt your blood run cold.
"No no no no!" you tried to pick him up as you panicked but you were too weak. You let go gently and stood at the head of his body, you tried to think. Think. Think. Think! You quickly grabbed his wrists and dragged him, you struggled but you were using all the strength you could. You pulled him into one the stalls and sat him up against the wall, his head pointed to the toilet. You kneeled down next to him,
"God...this better work." you pulled his mouth open with one of your hands and reached your other hand up to slip your fingers into his throat. You reached and felt around for his gag reflex. Nothing. You furrowed your  eyebrows, you couldn't even feel him breathing...you were scared.

"Please. Nathan." you pleaded as tears fell down your face. You quickly moved your hand as he coughed and sputtered, missing some of the toilet but still puking...that's all that mattered. You sighed in relief, still crying but hoping that this would help. You watched as his head tipped back against the wall of the stall, he fell back unconscious. You quickly called for an ambulance.
