You and Nathan decided to relax on campus after class. He sat on the picnic table and you laid on it,your head in his lap. You stared at your camera, looking at the pictures you took. Your eyes drifted up to Nathan as he day dreamed. You watched as the shadows from the leaves of the tree you were sitting under danced on his face, the way the light made his eyes sparkle. You smirked to yourself as you slowly pointed your camera up at him. You looked through your camera to make sure you had the perfect shot, then held your breath.

Nathan slightly jumped at the sound before looking down at you, he slightly smiled
"Did you just take a picture of me?"

"Maybe." you giggled

"Show me." he chuckled quietly

"Okay," you flicked through your photos to the picture and turned the camera so that he could see, "You looked so...peaceful. I couldn't resist."

he gently took the camera from your hands and turned it to you,
"Your turn." he smiled

you laughed;covering your face,
"pfft. No, I look awful."

he rolled his eyes as he peeled your hand away,
"You're beautiful."

"No,I-I don't do pictures.." your cheeks became hot as you looked away shyly

"Neither do I..so this is payback." he smirked

You turned your head to look back up at him,
"Fine." you sighed

"Good," he pointed the camera, and you looked into it before he lowered it;shaking his head, "No, act like it's not there."

you laughed,
"What?"

"Act like the camera isn't there and just..drift off."

you rolled your eyes with a grin on your face,
"That sounds dumb. You're obviously taking a picture of me."

"Please, just do it." he smiled

"Fine." you looked up at his face rather than the camera, you tensed when he begin to spread your hair out. You knew it was hard to tell if your hair was real or not but him touching it still made you nervous. He softly touched your neck as he turned your head at a angle he thought was good, this made you feel even more nervous. You guys only ever held hands as far as contact went, it was weird for his hands to be elsewhere especially a sensitive place like this;it tickled and it was weird but it was nice. He was so gentle with you. He finally decided you looked perfect enough and pointed the camera, you stared up at his face as it focused on the viewfinder of the camera.

"How's it look..?"

"You tell me." he turned the camera for you to see

"It's nice."

"It's beautiful, (Y/N)."

"I guess.." you looked away nervously

"You're beautiful." he softly said before he leaned his head down to place a kiss on your forehead. He laughed.

"What?"  you quickly looked up

"You're blushing. It's...cute." he smiled and placed the camera down on the table beside you

"Shutup." you teased and pinched his cheek.

"Nathan! Are you serious?!" a voice called, causing you to jolt up from his lap. You looked to see the girl that obviously didn't like you; she was angry. Nathan looked at her.

"What?" he questioned;looking annoyed

"You haven't been answering my fucking texts! I've been looking for you and when I finally do find you you're over here all cuddled up with puke girl!" she yelled at him

"Are you still mad about that?" he chuckled, not taking her seriously at all

"Why haven't you been answering my texts...my calls?" her voice broke and you could tell she was angry and a bit sad

"I've been busy...that's all."

"With her?!" she yelled as she pointed at you

"Am-am I intruding on something?" you asked, not sure what kind of relationship they had

"No--" Nathan began but was quickly cut off

"Yes," she glared at you, "She's a nobody, what do you even see in her..? Why are you hanging out with her?"

"Well...she's my girlfriend.." he shrugged

"What?! You can't be serious! She just got here, you just met her!"

"Well you know what? She gives a shit about me and only me, that's all that matters."

"And I don't?!"

"No. You don't." he grabbed your hand and stood from the table, you stayed quiet as it wasn't your fight

"How long have I known you?!"

"Vic--"

"How long?!" she persisted

"It doesn't matter! Will you just back off?! I don't love you. I never will so just...stop." his voice grew stern

You could see the tears build up in her eyes as they widened,
"Oh, but you love her?!" she pointed at you again

He looked at you before he hesitantly nodded,
"I...believe I do." he gripped your hand. You looked at him; surprised. You both were dating but, you had never said you loved each other yet.

she scoffed and opened her mouth to say something but she couldn't, she quickly stormed off.

"Are...are you dating? Were you two dating before I came here?" you asked, worried you did something wrong to cause their argument.

"No. Nothing like that," he sighed, "We used to hang out, that's all. I'm sorry that you had to be caught up in that.."

"Why'd you say that you'd never love her then?"

"We're friends, that's all we ever were. But she wanted more, I didn't." he sat back down with you;still holding your hand

"Oh," you looked down, "I'm...sorry about that."

"I..think she only cared about being with me and my money," he shrugged, "It doesn't matter, I can't hang out with her anymore. I want to better myself, yknow? The vortex club is not the way to go if I want that." he frowned

You nodded, "Well, I'm here for you." You pulled your hand from his to wrap your arms around his neck

"I know you are." he said much more light hearted as he wrapped his arms around your waist. You pulled back to plant a kiss on his cheek before returning your head on his shoulder.
