A/N: The song is Brokenheartsville by Joe Nichols

I stayed with Dark for about a day before finally having the courage to confront Mark. "You sure you want to go alone?" Dark asked. "Why would I need you there? Won't he be pissed off if he finds out you had a hand in this?" "No." he replied. "Not if he wants to live to see tomorrow." I put my hand on my hip. "Thanks, but just stay here. I can always call for you if I need you. Your little lady friend probably wants you anyway. She's been laying in bed waiting on you for ages." "True." he replied. I walked out the door. "(Y/N), wait. You don't know your way around here. How about I get you over there." "Fine. Where's your car?" "As if I drive." he replied, snapping his fingers. "Step through the portal." he encouraged. I gingerly obeyed, stepping straight into Mark's house. All of my confidence drained as soon as I was alone. How was I to explain myself? Better yet, how was I to explain my presence in Mark's house when he never invited me over or even let me in? I decided to sneak out and knock. I waited patiently until a very tired looking Mark answered the door. He looked shocked, but eventually smiled. "Hey you found me."he laughed. "Yeah...I just followed the yellow brick road." I said. He hugged me tightly and I felt so awkward. "I can't believe you're here...this is so unexpected." Fuck, I should've solicited help from Dark. I don't know how I'm going to tell him what's up. "Look...can we talk?" "Of course, buddy." he replied. Buddy. Great, the friendly talk...the kind that actually shows we're only friends. I'm not in the mood. I don't need this. He seated me on his couch, shooing his dog away in the process. "What's on your mind?" A lot. Too much, even. "Look...Mark, I noticed you have a girlfriend." his smile dropped and he closed his eyes. "I do." he replied. "I...thought things were going places with us." he sighed. "They were...but, you lived so far away...and we hardly saw each other, and I never saw that changing." "Mark, I was waiting for you to ask me out." "What good would it have done with you being so far away and us seeing each other like two or three times a year?" "We could've tried." I said. "Is this why you hung up on me on Skype?" I nodded. "Jesus." he muttered. "I don't even know what to say. I'm sorry, (y/n)." "I gave you so many good opportunities to ask me out. I made it so obvious that I liked you." "I saw them all, but I was sure it just wouldn't work. I never wanted to hurt you and I did it anyway. Look, I jumped the gun. I figured you'd be better off without me anyway...you deserve a boyfriend who can actually spend real time with you." I looked away. "So you're not interested?" There was silence. "I am, but...I don't know how I'd make it work. I'm sorry, (y/n)." I stood up and walked away. "Wait, don't go, not like that." I stopped but refused to face him. "This is a mess. I'm so sorry." "Okay." I replied. "Look...I can't just break up with my girlfriend. That's not right...but I have feelings for you. I want you in my life...and if you can stay, I want you to. I want to spend time with you..." "Not the kind of time I want you to spend with me." He was silent. "I like you more than her..." "Really? You have an odd way of showing it. I don't think I believe you...if you really felt that way, then why didn't you make a move? Distance or not, you could've at least said something." "You're right." he replied. "I know I am. If you need me, you can find me with Dark. He brought me here." I didn't have to even look at Mark to know he was uncomfortable. "Did he?" he asked. "Yeah. I asked him to. He said you had deep feelings for me, and I guess he's wrong and right at the same time. It's fine." I said, walking. "Don't go." he said. "Why would I stay? I think it might have been a mistake to come here." I opened the front door and walked out, giving Dark a call. "Hey, do that portal thingie." I said. "I'm a bit busy..." he replied. "Please." he grunted and told someone to move out of his way. A female voice protested in the background, and he assured her he'd return shortly. "Jump in." he said. I walked through the portal and was back in Dark's living room in a heartbeat. I sat on the couch and patiently waited for him to enter the room. In what felt like forever, he walked in and sat down beside me, half dressed and smoking. "I'm not hearing any wedding bells." "He's nothing like what I thought he'd be. He's...a coward...weak...wishy washy. He won't break up with that lady because he feels like it'd be wrong...yet he claims he has more feelings for me than her." "He's always been a bad decision maker. He cares about what people think too much...unlike me. I couldn't care less what people think of me...or demons for that matter. I do what I want." I looked at him. "I think we might wind up being closer than Mark and I could ever be." "Maybe so." he replied. "We seem to have some things in common." "I'm sorry for making you drag me out here...is there any way I could repay you?" "You didn't make me do anything, but if you really want to comp me for the inconvenience...I accept blowjobs." I was taken aback by his brazen comment. "I mean, you can fuck me or give me a handjob, too, if it'll make you feel better. This is about you, after all." he said. I couldn't help but laugh. "Is it?" I asked. "Sure is." he replied. I thought about it. "Look...you said something about making him jealous earlier." "I did." he replied. "Well, how would we go about doing that?" "It's simple: fuck me. Trust me, anytime I hook up with someone he has feelings for it drives him insane." "How will he know?" "That's simple enough. I'll do damn near anyone and he knows it...but if you want me to give him more proof, I do know how to take pictures...and videos. I can force him to watch, too." I raised my eyebrow. "Force him to watch?" I asked. "Sure...I have a great deal of power over him." "I don't like the idea. How about we just fool around for a bit, and you send him a few texts?" "I can work with that." he replied. I felt nervous. I had no idea if doing this would ruin my friendship...as badly broken as it is, with Mark. I had no idea if it'd even work. I let myself fall into Dark's arms. There was something soothing and comforting about his cold skin and strong body. "Tell me what you want." he purred with that deep, seductive voice. He pulled me into his lap and held my hips against his. "I can do anything." I was too nervous to express desires to him. After all, this was just to make Mark jealous, and Dark is still very much so a stranger to me. "Shy?" he asked. I nodded. "Fine then. Let me be in charge. Tell me if I'm too rough." My breath hitched as he gracefully rearranged our bodies. His cold hands teased my tensed body and I held my breath as he slowly pressed himself into me. I dug my nails into the couch and whimpered a bit. "You know, it's easier to handle this if you relax." he said, as if it didn't feel like he was trying to split my small frame in half. I focused my mind on something else and ignored my core being stretched out. Before long, I felt nothing but pleasure. I begged him to go faster, I tore at the couch, twisting my body around. The sound of our bodies connecting filled the air, and momentarily I completely forgot about Mark. "You know, (y/n), Mark is missing out. You feel incredible." Dark breathed. "Yeah...well...maybe this will...this will show him." I replied, feeling almost dizzy from the intense pleasure. "God, I don't want you two together. I'd rather keep you for myself." he moaned. "Oh r-really? Add me to your harem?" "Precisely. I can see you as being my bottom bitch..." he breathed. My head was swimming as a climax started brewing. "M-maybe if....god, maybe if Mark doesn't...doesn't work out...I..." Jesus, I couldn't even speak. "I'm gonna tire you out, babe." Dark growled. "Feel like changing it up?" I contemplated the pros and cons of trying to top with such a powerful being. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad, but my legs felt like jell-o. Despite that fact, I agreed to switch positions. I climbed on top of his powerful frame and slipped into position. "Good?" he asked, breathlessly. "Yeah..." I replied, rapidly losing my confidence. I braced myself on his shoulders and avoided eye contact. There was something about his eyes that turned me on and scared me shitless at the same time. I kept a steady pace, and with his help, managed to get us both where we needed to be. I'm sure I looked like a trainwreck with my hair standing up, my makeup smudged, and my body coated in a fine layer of sweat. I heard the distinct sound of a photo being taken, followed by the clicking of a virtual keyboad. "Sent." Dark said, sweeping his hair out of his face. "Now we wait." We didn't have to wait long. Before I could even ask what exactly got sent, Dark got a text...from Mark. "Oh boy, he's pretty pissed." More messages flooded his phone, and I sat waiting with baited breath. "Take a shower and get ready to meet this dude. He's on his way over. Pretend to be sad and terrified, it'll help." My heart pounded in my chest as I shakily got to my feet. "You...sure?" "Of course. Now hurry up, he drives like a pissed off teenager when he's this upset."
