I've been waving my green bendy straw in my glass of coca cola for about an hour. Just sitting in the same spot at the kitchen table. My tears dropped one by one in the soda. I wiped my face when the doorbell rang and I got up to answer the door. I opened it and saw..Jerry. He had the usual flowers in his hand
"What are you doing here?" I folded my arms
"You know Jamie. Your mom is an amazing women" he started
"I bet you told you're so called secratary that too" I went to close the door, but he put his foot in the way.
"Where's your mother?" he asked
"None of your buisness" I go to close the door again, but he holds it.
"I said--" He's interruped by my mother's footsteps coming downstairs.
"Jerry, I'm glad you came" she smiled and kissed him
"Anything for you, sweetie" he wrapped his arm around her waist
"I can't believe you're falling for this garbage" I sigh
"Jamie. Go upstairs now. This instant" my mom ordered
"I'm going by dad tommorrow after school" I go upstairs
The Next Day.................................
"Hey, Jamie." I looked up to see Jacob. (Jacob Perez)
"Oh, hey" I plastered on a fake smile.
He never talked to me. I was pretty surprised.
"Whats up?"
"Nothing. I know you're happy you guys won the game....by default" I smirked
"We could've won even if Hailie and Jacob weren't having their breakup scene" he laughed
"Break up scene?"
"The word around is that Hailie was trying to break up with Jacob, he got angry and decided to get some revenge by blasting her team with red paint" Jacob leaned up against a locker beside me
"Thats soo not what happened" I closed my locker
Jacob shrugged his shoulders.
"Hailie was trying to paint our team because she was jealous of me and Jacob" I explained
"Oh...So you two a thing?" Jacob asked
"Not anymore" I sighed
"What about Tyler?"
"Not even close" We start walking to computer
"Oh. Well I'm having a pool party tonight. Wanna come?"
"Sure. It'll probably get my mind off of everything"
"Cool. I'll pick you up" he smirked.
"K, I'll catch you at class" I wave goodbye and go over to Jordan and Chresanto who seem to be arguing.
"I don't even know the girl, Jordan" Chresanto argued
"So why were you texting her? Why'd she call you babe? Huh?" Jordan argued back
"Everything okay?" I raised an eyebrow
"I gotta get to class" Jordan brushed past me and went to class
I guess I'm not the only one with problems lately.... After school dad picked me up and dropped me at his house. Thats where Jacob would be picking me up. Dad opened the front door and the smell of lasanga sprung in the air. Yummy.
"Who's cooking?" I ask, but then get a sight of my spanish teacher
"Good afternoon to you too, Ms. Jackson" she smiles and puts forks and spoons beside the dinner table.
"Hey.... Well I'm not hungry. Going to a party, bye!" I smile and jog upstairs before anyone could say anything.
Since its a pool party....in the night. I decide to bring a change of clothes and wear my bathing suit. A few minutes I get a text from Jacob (Perez...) and he says he's outside. I go outside and he's in the driveway.
"Who's your friend, Jamie?" my dad asks
"Just a friend" I say sarcastically.
"Does your mother know about this?" he asks
"Yep. Don't worry. I'll be home by ten" I kiss dad on the cheek then go to Jacob's car.
I hop in and he turns down the radio.
"Hey, gorgeous" he smirks
"Hey."
We soon arrive to Jacob's house. Its really classy and then there's this huge pool in the backyard. We pull up and 'Blurred Lines' is blasting. He knocks on the door and Gabrielle opens the door.
"Hey, Jamie!" she hugs me
"What are you...???"
"I told Jacob to invite you. Since you were all sad about the incident" she looked down at her feet
"Thanks" I hug her back
"You guys ready?" Rayan ask wrapping his arm around Gabrielle's waist
"Yep" I agree
10 minutes later everyone is splashing up in the pool, some people are making out, the guys from the football team are cannonballing in when I catch a glimpse of someone. Its Tyler and Hailie...They're making out. My heart shatters into a million pieces. Hailie sees me and winks. I get out of the pool and make my way through the bunch of drunk dancing people bumping into me. I spot Jacob (Perez) getting something to drink and I tap his shoulder.
"Whats wrong, Jamie?" he asks
" Can you take me home?" I wipe my tear stained face
"Sure.." he grabs my hand and guides me through the crowd.
We reach his car and start driving back to my house. We pull up into my driveway.
"Whats wrong?" he asks again
"Nothing" I lie
"If it has something to do with Jacob or Tyler I'm here for you" he puts his hand on mine
"Thanks" I smile
He stares into my eyes and then gives me a quick kiss on the lips. I can't help but smile.
"Goodnight, Jamie" he smirks.
"Night" I wave goodbye and walk to my door with the biggest smile of the night on my face.
