- imagine you and Finn are dating online, and have a long distance relationship. the imagine begins with you at thanksgiving with your family. also let's pretend you have a really shady, nosy, annoying ass aunt.
You sit at the table, surrounded by a bunch of you're family members in which you haven't seen in what seemed like years.
You ask your aunt to pass the mashed potatoes and she does, but continues with a question.
"So, Y/N..." She begins. "Do you have a boyfriend?"
I roll my eyes at the dreaded question and nod.
A look of surprise sprawls across my aunt's face, "Really?" She questions and I nod my head again, "That's quite surprising..."
I am taken aback by her words, "What do you—"
"So!" She interrupts me. "What's his name?"
I dump a scoop of mashed potatoes on my plate, "Finn."
"What an odd name.." She starts, "So, what's he like? What does he do?"
"Well, uhm he's an actor." I inform her.
"Really? Actors don't get that far in life, you may want to reconsider you're decis—" My aunt begins and takes a sip of her drink.
"He plays a main character in the show, Stranger Things." I interrupt her.
My aunt's eyes go wide and she spits out her drink, causing everyone to turn heads.
"Y/A/N!" My mother shouts from across the table.
"Stranger Things?" My aunt questions excitedly, ignoring my mom.
I nod, "He plays Mike Wheeler.." I trail off.
Those words catch the attention of a few others, and everyone starts laughing.
"What?" I question, looking around at everyone.
My aunt chuckles loudly, "Yea right!"
"I'm being serious!"
"You," My aunt points at me, hysterically laughing. "are dating Mike Wheeler from Stranger Things?"
I slowly nod, "And?"
My aunt's laughter dies down, and she seems out of breath. "That's pretty funny, Y/N." She laughs once again and pats my back. "Just keep dreaming, honey," She says to me and takes a bite of her turkey.
I roll my eyes, "I'm telling the truth, Aunt Y/A/N."
"Yeah sure you are." She laughs and shake her head.
Suddenly, my phone starts ringing, so I look down and see that it's Finn. I look at my mom who was eating food, "Mom can I take this? It's Finn." I ask.
"Yeah, sure honey." She smiles at me. If this weren't Finn, then she wouldn't let me do this. She only allows me to answer Finn's calls at anytime since we have a long distance relationship, and rarely get to hear each other's voices.
"Is she being serious--she's actually dating him?" I hear my aunt question as I walk away from the table.
