"COME BACK WHEN YOU'VE LEARNED HOW TO ACT" your stepdad yells slamming the front door. You turn around giving your house one last middle finger before walking away.
Your stepdad heard that you were hanging out with a bunch of boys and he was furious. He demanded you to tell him their names and you refused. So, he threw things and screamed that you either tell him or get out of his house. So here you were, walking outside at 12 at night.
You clutch your jacket tight to your body and walk wherever your legs take you next. After about 15 minutes of walking, you pass by an all too familiar house.
"Kaspbrak," you say aloud. You walk over to Eddie's window with a handful of rocks and start to throw them

"Romeo..Romeo..where for art thou?" you say continuing to throw rocks. Suddenly the window opens revealing a bed-head Eddie,
"Y/N?? What are you doing here??" He says wearing nothing but a shirt and his boxers
"Wanna go on an adventure?"
"Y/N Y/L/N do you have any idea what time it is?"
"Yes mother, do you wanna go or not?" he looks down at you and shakes his head,
"Okay okay just give me a second..meet me around back." You walk around to the back of his house and wait for him. He waits for a few minutes and hear the door creak open,
"Hey," you say to Eddie
"So where are we going?"
"Ummm..." you look around trying to think of something
"You don't have a plan?"
"I honestly didn't think I would get this far" he rolls his eyes and starts to head back inside,
"Wait," you say reaching for his hand, "I gotta place"

You walk for a few minutes and end up out of town following the train tracks. You stumble upon an abandon box cart,
"Here it is," you say
"A box cart?" he says in confusion
"Just follow me" you take his hand and lead him into the box cart. You flip a switch and the inside lights up. Eddie looks around in awe seeing a boombox, a couch, and a shelf full of notebooks and markers.
"What's with all of this?" he asks
"Remember when I, Teddy and Caroline disappeared after school everyday..well before they moved away that is" Eddie nods,
"This is where we went" Eddie walks over and sits on the couch,
"How'd you get a couch?"
"You'd be surprised what people throw in the junkyard"
"EW" Eddie says quickly removing himself from the couch.

"I can't believe you said that to your mom," you say in response to Eddie's story. You sat next to each other leaning against the couch and talked about several different things. Eddie turns his head and started looking at you like he was waiting for you to say something,
"What?"
"Hm?"
"Why are you staring at me? I swear if I had something in my teeth and you never told me this whole time-"
"No no I was just thinking" he looks down and scratches the back of his head,
"About?"
"I just don't get it..how you can leave your house in the middle of the night and go out with some boy and not think of the consequences"
"Well...you're here too aren't you?"
"It's different for me," he says looking down and making eye contact with you
"How is it different?"
"Because I'm with you...I don't think when I'm with you. Everything I do in my life I think of all the 80 million consequences that could result from it. But, when I'm with you I don't.I just do stuff"
"you just do stuff," you say mocking him
"yeah," he says and you two sit in silence while music plays on the boombox,
"is that a bad thing?"
"No...I wanna do all the stuff in the world with you Y/N Y/L/N"
