I was reading Zachariah's journal earlier today, and it turns out that the Matthews family actually helped out a lot. Bigclub and Sharpclub formed an alliance at one point, and the current generation of werewolves broke up the alliance. Bigclub was so scared they actually swore to take the side of the Wardens in any and all conflicts. The then-alphas of the family, Jacob and Nellie Matthews, were Zachariah's right and left hands. It's actually kind of awesome to read about. Mr. and Mrs. Matthews seem to be happy to reclaim that role. It's sort of awkward because they're in their forties, and I'm thirteen. They asked how my "guardian" was. When I told them I had no idea what that meant they just said that it's probably better for now. They also talked about THE SWORD. There's a reason Doomfang is called Doomfang, and that's because of Zachariah Doom's sword. It was called the Doomfang, and was passed down from one Warden to the next. Apparently in order to reclaim it I need to figure out where the Dooms fit in my family tree, because otherwise I won't be the full Warden, so I suppose I better do some asking.
