I spent a hella long time having my name mispronounced three times and keeping myself from snapping at the person until I could finally leave.
When I could leave, I stood up and left, not waiting for the other adult who came with me and not saying bye, knowing if I stayed longer and if I let myself speak, I'd only snap.
I came back and quickly went to my room so I could calm down the anger that built up while my name was mispronounced by yet another person.
Imagine having your name mispronounced your entire life and even when you correct them, they keep saying your name wrong and having to deal with it because you don't want to be rude. I don't think that would be so fun, would it?
And altering your name's spelling in Sweden from Mulan to Mulán so people will FINALLY understand how to pronounce it, but nothing changing.
