Chapter 9

Maya woke up, actually glad to go to school that day. It was a Monday, but Maya was glad to go to school.

But when Maya walked downstairs, her father was there and he shoved her to the floor.

"What is this?" He demanded holding up Riley's bracelet. "This isn't yours, Maya I never gave you money for this."

Maya tried to get up but was shoved once again. "Answer the damn question, Hart!" He screamed.

"It's n-not mine. I-it's R-Riley's. I-i..."

Maya's father chuckled a little. "That girl you have the feels for, huh?" He smiled evilly.

Maya had a confused look on her face. "H-how do y-you know about th-that?" He pulled her journal from behind his back. He smirked.

"You better not be lesbian, girl. Because if you are, you e got another thing coming for you."

He kicked her in her side and walked up the stairs. Maya felt a tear run down her face.

You're worthless, Hart. Nobody loves you. You should just die.

"I just want this all to end." She whispered to herself once again.

"I'm gonna do it. I-I'm gonna do it."

She ran out the door without her books and drove to the Brooklyn Bridge. This was the day that Maya Hart was going to kill herself.
