(y/n) POV

When I asked them to explain to Penny all about the birds and bees, that's when I realized we are not exactly the best parents in all of Remnant or even in Beacon or just, ever!

(y/n): "Any suggestions how we're gonna do it?"

Suddenly, out comes Yang with a cassette player, playing a certain song loudly in the room.

"WHEN A MAAAN~ LOVES A WOMAN!~"

(y/n): "NO Yang! We are not doing an interpretative dance!"

Yang: "Then how about a dance number? Or maybe a musical! I mean come on, it's fun! What do you think?"

(y/n): "Short answer... No. Long answer? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO"

Yang: "Well it's better than Blake's pop-up book!"

(y/n): "A pop-up book?"

Blake then comes out, holding a thick book with pages made of what seems to be cardboard.

Blake: "Wh-what?! It's interactive!"

(y/n): "Give me that!"

Upon opening the book, I'm greeted by rather very graphic and detailed images and some VERY familiar scenarios as I flipped through the pages.

(y/n): "Yep! We can't do this..."

Blake: "Don't like it?"

(y/n): "I don't think we should let Penny keep a book like that"

Blake: "She might need it one day!"

(y/n): "For what!?"

Blake: "References!"

(y/n): "Why would she even- YOU KNOW WHAT! Don't answer that! We're not doing that!"

Ruby: "PENNY NO!"

We suddenly hear outside our door. Penny broke into RWBY's dorm room and looks at the three of us with a rather sad smile...

"WHEN A MAAAN~ LOVES A WOMAN!~"

(y/n): "YANG!!!"

Yang: "Hehe, sorry"

She immediately turns off the music.

Penny: "...I guess I won't be getting a younger brother or sister am I?"

(y/n): "Listen, Penny-"

Penny: "WHY CAN'T I JUST HAVE A NORMAL FAMILY?!"

Penny suddenly screamed out, silencing everything and everyone, her words piercing my heart, as if spikes were trying to crawl out of it from the inside out.

Penny: "The moment I was conceived I was aware! I was born out of a coffin! And metal and ICE!"

(y/n): "Penny-"

Penny: "I'M not NORMAL! I was born not as a child but as a GIRL! And I'm not even a real girl! I'm... I'm not flesh and bone... And everyday I try! Maybe if I act like a normal child, maybe I'll be one... I tried my best making it all normal. A father... I even got two mothers... but it just felt like it wasn't enough!"

She looked at her own hands, shaking. There were no tears, only raw emotion. Not only for her but also for me...

I let my daughter down... I failed making her completely happy...

Penny: "How do I know that you're actually my father? How do I even know if I'm...

...

How do I know, that I'm alive and not some program you created?"
