And now there are two people glaring at me.

The girl isn't even pretending not to, her dark eyes narrowed into slits as she sits next to Killer on the couch. I've been expelled to the floor, moving the leftover bits of chili around my bowl in absolute silence as I watch the little boy continue to play Nintendo DS. I would watch whatever is on the television but then my eyes would be tempted to drift over to Mr. Hayes, who glares uninterrupted from a chaise chair on my right.

I rack my brain for any excuse to leave and go back home, but the funny thing is that I don't want to. I would rather be miserable and ignored here in Killer's living room with two people trying to kill me with their minds than go home to be miserable and ignored there.

"Here let me take your bowl," Killer says as she gets up from the couch and leans down next to me, three other dishes already balanced precariously balanced in her arms.

"Oh, no let me help you." I scramble up from the floor and grab the cups on the coffee table as I follow Killer into the kitchen.

"Make sure you keep your hands to yourself in there, Pretty Boy!" The girl calls out, turning completely around in her seat to watch me walk into the kitchen. Mr. Hayes doesn't even have to say anything, his whispered threats from earlier still echoing in my ear.

Killer walks to the sink and places the dishes inside, beckoning me closer as I hesitate a few feet away. I walk up beside her and place the cups into the sink as well, not moving away as she places a hand gently on my arm.

"I'm sorry about them." She nods to the living room where I can still feel eyes on me. "I guess you can call them a little protective."

"Maybe just a little," I laugh lightly, although the sound seems giddy as I try not to focus on her skin on mine.

"You have to admit," she turns around and leans back against the counter as she smiles at me, "they have good reason to be."

I frown as I lean back against the counter, too. "Why would they have a good reason?"

"Oh come on, Shills." She rolls her eyes as she crosses her arms over her chest. "Just a couple days ago you were treating me like I was gum stuck to the bottom of your shoe. And now you're having dinner at my house.

"Even you have to admit that's a little suspicious." She shrugs as she waggles her eyebrows a little. "If I didn't know any better I'd say you were hiding something."

"What could I possibly hide from you?" I bat my eyelashes sweetly as I try to act as innocent as possible.

"Absolutely nothing." She laughs as she straightens up, pushing my shoulder playfully as she steps around me, her entire body brushing against mine. "And you better remember that."

I watch her walk away, the purposefully swoosh of her hips forcing my eyes downward as I watch her ass sway out of the kitchen.

Sweet Lord have mercy!

I'm snapped out of my trance as someone else steps into my line of view, blocking Killer's thick butt from view. I flinch, thinking it's Mr. Hayes who has come to kill me for look at his daughter the wrong way but thankfully, it's only Killer's friend. Or maybe not thankfully, because in this moment she seems just as dangerous as the lethally-trained doctor.

"Make sure you keep your eyes to yourself, too," the anger in her eyes doesn't match the smile on her lips, "Pretty Boy."

I try to walk around her but she step back in my way. I'm much taller than her, and I try to use my height to subtly intimidate her into backing off but she isn't frightened in the least. She steps even closer to me, her chin tilting up as she squares up with me.

"I have no idea what you're planning." She drops her voice to a heated whisper so no one else can hear her. "But I don't fucking like you. And I sure as hell don't trust you. So watch your back, Shills."

With that she laughs lightly and slaps my armbefore turning on her heel and walking back into the living room. "So, what's for dessert?"

A/N So I posted two chapters tonight because they are super short! But how are y'all liking the character development so far? How is you favorite, whether it's one of the main characters or a supporting character? Let me know who you would like to make some more appearances!

Much Love,
