"Really? For three very smart people, that was really stupid," Joe stated, throwing his coat on top of the recliner in the corner of the living room.

He and his partner were in Jitters only a few minutes ago until he received a text from Barry to meet here because he had to tell him something. And as soon as he stepped foot through the door of his house, he saw Caitlin, Cisco, and Barry standing around in the living room.

Barry explained what happened less than an hour ago that made them come running here. And Joe, one for not liking surprises, was definitely not liking this one. "What if Wells caught you in that. . ." Joe trailed off, waving his hand as he mentally searched the word he's looking for.

"Time vault," Cisco finished.

Joe snapped his fingers in Cisco's direction. "Thank you!"

"Okay, I know we've seen a lot this past year," Eddie said, trying to be reasonable as he started to observe each of the serious looks on everyone's face, "but time travel?"

"I did it," Barry said, which earned a look from everyone in the room. The reactions made him add, "Or I will do it, I mean."

"Excuse me?" Joe asked, wanting to press pause and reverse on this whole conversation.

"One of the two speedsters in Barry's house the night his mother died was Barry," Cisco started to explain, making his way to the other side of the couch beside Eddie, whom stood in front of the window. "I mean, the Flash. He was there. Which means that one day, in the future, Barry will travel back in time to that night."

"Okay."

"Actually, I wasn't talking about that," Barry said, rubbing the back of his neck with both hands. "I kind of. . .time traveled already. . .by accident."

Joe's eyebrows shot up to the top of his head. A million things went through his mind right now after just hearing that his own son confirmed he could do another thing that should be impossible. And after all this time, it surprised him even more.

All the secretive could manage to say was, "What?"

It was another day in Central City—well, one as ordinary as it could be. Barry was on another case about a meta that could control the weather and like most days, Andi went to the CCPD precinct to have lunch with him and discuss how to catch the meta. But this case was different. This meta was different. This metaMark Mardonhad motive against Joe and he kidnapped him, then tried to lure out Iris.

After Barry and Andi enlisted themselves to help Iris get Joe back, they all headed out to the waterfront on the south side of Central City where Mardon said he was keeping him.
