Andi walked down a staircase lined with beige carpeting. She was barefoot, wearing a silk white gown that brushed her knees, only noticing these very details when she eyed the last step and saw the flooring transition from carpet to wooden tile. She held on to the white plastered railing, feeling almost out of balance, a dizzy spell overcoming her.

She wasn't familiar wth her surroundings for some reason, but something inside her told her that she should be. She tilted her head up, looking around from the brown walls to the white ceiling. She knew she's inside a house. She didn't need to look around too long to figure that part out.

But what house? Andi wondered. A two-story house by the looks of it. Whose?

Andi made it down the stairs and turned right into a hallway that lead to a big great room where half laid out a kitchen and the other half expanded into a living room. The kitchen was decorated with autumn decor: red, yellow and orange leave patterns, turkeys, scarecrows, and pumpkins. The living room formed a square shape, but wide enough space for a flat screen TV, a love-seat, and a couch. It also had a similar set up to the kitchen, but it had gentle, deep gray painted walls which were covered with family portraits. Inside the portraits were three girls, one older and two twins and their mother and father with smiles on all their faces. Some are just the girls individually or all of them together. One centered is a candid wedding photo with them all together on the dance floor.

Andi heard echoes of giggles at a high pitch from behind. She turned around, feeling an itch at her ears, wanting to find the source. She walked down the hallway she came from and found herself staring at the front door straight ahead before looking to the left to see the make-up of a dining area. There sat a long rectangular table. She counted six chairs in total, but no one to fill them. She figured the source of the giggles came from here.

The giggles grew—louder and longer this time. She made her way over to the staircase and her eyes trailed upward, wondering if she should walk up, though she had no memory of doing so in the first place.

Then, she heard her name being called from behind by the sweetest, smallest voice that reminded her of a mouse.

Andi turned around and didn't see anyone there.

Then, it happened again and she followed the sound and walked back to the dining table, only this time, she found the chairs filled with the people this time. People she somewhat expected to be there.

Her family.

Her uncle Stephen sat at the end of the table, facing Andi, but his blue eyes were glued to the candle sticks on the middle of the table. Her two sisters sat beside each other—Alyssa and Amelia. She could always tell them apart in her own way, such as the way Amelia always kept her hair down, while Alyssa always had it up.
