Chapter 7: Flowers

It has been two weeks so far and Zoe and Louis have been taking off. They go out every day and go out at night. Ricky is busy so he and Taylor don't see each other often.  I've seen Zach but, lastly, he hasn't shown up. I asked him for his number but, he doesn't have a phone! Why? I hardly see the girls...scratch that I see Taylor but, hardly Zoe. So I told them last night that we have a spend time together, after all, that's why we are here. Zoe got upset a little bit because she finally found someone who loves her just as much as she loves him. Oh, how could I forget that! They said I Love You on their 6th date!!! Who does that, that fast. I guess I am just upset with Zach. I shouldn't be but I am. We were just buddies and now he doesn't show up. What did I do? OH!!! And I went looking for him at the nearest coffee shop but, they don't have a Zach. I am going crazy. Claire. Snap. Out. Of. It. 

"Girls, I need you" I yelled getting out of bed

"What Claire?" Zoe asked

"Do you want to go out?" I asked

"Like where?" Zoe asked

"Um, where too? I don't know if I can. Ricky finally has to time off" Taylor said

"And if she gets to go then I guess Louis and my plans are on," Zoe said getting up

"Thank you Claire"Taylor said getting up

"I-I" I said

"Bye" They yelled running

"Bye?" I questioned

I walked into my bathroom and did my morning routine. I put on a black tank top and black leggings. I put a flower cardigan on, colors are pink, blue, black and some green. I put on neon light blue heels and salmon purse.  I walked out of the house and locked up. I didn't really know what I was going to do but, I thought to be in the house all day would be boring when there is a beautiful world outside my front door. I got on a tram and went down to the center of town. I saw that there was a flower shop nearby. I saw blue flowers that were so beautiful I gasped and made my way over. It was called Flower Arranging DVD. The flowers had beautiful white and blue! I am truly in love. I wish I could get these from my prince charming. I walked into the store to look around. I saw purple, red, pink, yellow, and more white ones. I thought I could get some for the house. I picked out some yellow, orange and pink for the kitchen. I walked to the counter and didn't see anyone. The sign read open 

"Hello? Is anyone here? I have some flowers I want" I said

No answer. I put the flowers down on the counter and walked towards the back.

"Hello?" I asked taking a step forward

"Help" I heard a low whisper

"Where are you?" I said stepping closer to where I heard it when I saw an old woman on the floor

"Help," She said quietly

"Ma'am are you ok?" I asked bending down

"I hurt my leg," She said softly 

"Let me call an ambulance," I said

"112," She said again softly

"What? Is that an order? Oh wait is that the number to call?" I asked 

Shook her head yes.

"OK"

I called and the ambulance. She told me to stay with her...I didn't know what to say. So I acted fast. I got her keys and locked the door. I hopped in and went with her. She held my hand. I don't know this woman but, I already feel connected to her. Poor lady...We got to the Hospital. She was rushed into a room and I sat in the waiting room. I bet they had already called her family. So I waited to see if anyone would show...but, nothing. I walked up to the counter.

"Hi, How may I help you?" The lady asked

"Hi, Did anyone call...um...I actually don't know her name....She was rushed in from the flower shop. I came in with her, I am the one that called for help" I said worried

"Oh yes, Ms.Kane" She said 

"Ms? You mean she is a widow?" I asked

"Ma'am, I can't tell you that" She said

"Oh, I get that but, did you call her family?" I asked

"I did but, they live in Georgia and won't be here for 3 days and by then she will be out" She said

"Oh...but..." I was cut off

"Ma'am?" I heard a male voice call behind me

"Yes?" I said turning around

"For Ms.Kane right?" He asked

"Uh, Yes. I am Claire...Claire Mason" I said

"Hi, I am Doctor Ohray. May we speak over here please?" He asked 

"Yes" I said

We walked over

"Ms.Kane is alright. She fractured her leg. She will need help walking around and with a flower store, You'll need to help her. Physical..." I cut him off

"W-What do you mean...Me?" I asked shocked

"You. Help. Her. Run. The. Shop. She can't do it buy herself Miss. Mason" He said

"Does she have a business partner?" I asked

"No, My wife went there last week and talked with her. She doesn't have one" He said

"B-Bb-But, I don't know how" I said

"Well you'll learn while you take care of her I bet she could teach you some tips" He said

"Take Care of her???" I said more shocked

"Miss. Mason, The poor woman is going to need someone's help and her Son is in Georgia. I bet it couldn't hurt to help out a widow old woman" He said

"I-I"
