Chapter 16: Meet up

Claire's POV

It has been two days since the dinner at Clos Maggiore. Cathy had fun but, was angry at the way the guard grabbed me. I was too, I had a little bruising. I was angry about it but, didn't mind it. He better know that if I see him I am going to kick him where the sun doesn't shine. I take out my phone and look at the calendar...my month is almost over...I don't want to leave. I love her-

Zach?

Yes...I was wondering if you'd like to go to our spot...I have time

I don't know...I haven't seen you in so long that I kind of don't feel comfortable around you

Zachary POV

I want to see her so bad...!

Please...My life is crazy and I needed a break. I didn't want to bring you into it all

Was I going to back it worse?

No, No...I just needed time. Its slowly dying down and I had time to see you

Zach, I wanna see you but, I can't  be on hold without an explanation 

What do you mean?

She didn't say anything

Claire?

I  kinda like you...and it hurt when you would call or see me whenever...You're a great friend...that I like...It is kind of weird  but, I wanna see you more

No it's not weird because...I kinda like you too...

This is weird, isn't it?

Yeah...Will you please met me?

Uh...sure. I'll be there in 20.

T-Thank you!

She chuckled

We hung up and I changed into close that looked like normal clothes. I put the box away on the top shelf that held the clothes and I went outside my window. The guards just turned the corner...This is my chance. I hopped down and went to my driver. My driver Jake was my good friend. He knows that I need time away from this royal things. He keeps his eye out for me. His wife was amazing. She would make me this and it was so sweet. 

"Hey Zach, Lily made you cookies," Jake said

"Oh, that was sweet of her...Please Thank her for me" I said grabbing them

"I will so, are we sneaking off?" He asked

"Yes...Please the usual place" I replied

"Ok sir," He said

Every time I go out he drops me off near the fountain but, kind of far so I can walk to my hideout. He usually goes and gets food or checks on things at home. I got out and said bye. I made my way over to the spot where Claire would be. 

Claire's POV

 I put my phone down and jumped up and down. He likes me! I can't believe I told him I do...who cares. Now I have to find something cute to wear! I put on a knitted long sleeve red dress with black heels. I made sure it was long to block the marks.  I made loose curls in my hair and put a beanie on. I did light makeup and made my lips pop.
