Zach's POV
Being a Royal Prince has is hard and has its challenges...Like having to marry someone who you hate and don't have a heart for. Don't get me wrong Princess Vanessa is pretty but, she isn't someone I would want to marry or hang out with either. She wants to be Queen but, only to make people kiss her feet. I want to make a change. I want my people to live freely and feel like they have a voice. Princess Vanessa, on the other hand, wants to have them under her spell. Truly I like someone else...Claire. I don't know what it is about her that makes me just want to be free. I got Princess Vanessa flowers the other day and when I went to the flower shop I saw Claire but, because I looked like a 'business' man she didn't know who I was well kind of but, I couldn't let her know. It hurt knowing she misses me and thinks men are all bad because of me. I got her number from my sources. I called her to hear her voice.
I picked up my phone and dialed the phone.
"What!"
Why is she angry? Did I do this? No, She doesn't know my number to know it's me
"Uh Hi, It's me...Zach..."
"Oh...Wait!How did you get my number? Where have you been? "
(Off the phone)
"Sir, Zachary. Prince Hazer is here" My Guard said through the door
I covered speaking part of the phone
"I will be out," I said
"I-I...I must go just now but, know that I still think about you and hope that I'll see you again. And in hopes, you will want to see me...For now, bye beautiful Claire"
I hung up and looked at the phone for a few minutes. I made my way out to see my best friend.
Claire's POV
I put the phone on the counter forgetting everything and so shocked...My heart and brain are so confused. I want to him but, I am angry at the same time. I hardly know him but, just want to be around him all the time. I looked at the bowl next to me and remembered what I was doing. I put the bowl on a tray with crackers and some fresh fruit. I grabbed a bottle of water and made my way to Cathy's room. I looked down not meeting her eyes.
"Dear, what happened?" She asked
"I...Things are all over right now and its hard. I came here to take a break from everything. Then the girls find a man and I am OK with but, they don't spend time with me. Then I am now taking care of a shop and you...I am OK with it...but, I have no idea if I do it...I mean I have in the pas-"She cut me off
"Darling, Its OK...I was your age once. I get the whole thing. Don't worry about the shop I have a friend taking over"
"Really?" I asked trying not to be too happy and handing her, her food
"Yes, Its bad an enough trying to take care of an old lady that you don't know because my kids are to busy to help," She said with this look in her eye...I couldn't get it all the way.
"I am sorry about that," I told her taking a step back
"Its OK, It's not new...here I'm fed and I might take a nap after. Why don't you go out and have lunch? Maybe look around" She told me
"I can-" She cut me off
"Yes you can because I wasn't asking I was telling," She said well raising a brow
This girl...
"I-I...Ugh fine but, you call me if you NEED anything" I said then added "Don't get out of bed"
"Yes Mom" She chuckled
"I'm serious" I stated
"Go be a girl" She chuckled
I walked over and gave her a quick hug before walking outside. I locked up and got in my car. I can't believe the Ricky got me this! He is thoughtful...I drove around looking at the places. The rain was almost gone. I drove to Lantana Cafe Fitzrovia. It looked cool so I parked and made my way. When I walked in it was so nice and peaceful kind of. I walked to the stand where a waitress was waiting.
"Hello?" I asked
"Uh, Yes...How can I help?" She said sweetly
She looked like she was crying and tired
"Are you OK?" I asked
"I am...Thank you for asking" She said
"Anytime...Uh sorry um table for 1" I stated
"Um," She said looking behind her
She nodded and I followed her to a table for 1 but, had 2 chairs.
"Thank you, I am going on a break but, your server will be up soon" She smiled
"Uh, Would you like to join? You look tired...I'll pay" I asked her
"I wouldn't want to intrude," She said sweetly
"I wouldn't have asked if you were" I smiled
"I-I guess" She smiled " I'll be right back"
I nodded and took the menu that she put on the table before walking off. I know Cathy wanted me to be alone but, I saw that girl and she looked like she was going to pass out soon. A server came to my table
"Hi, I'm Mickey. Can I start you off with a drink? We have coffee, tea, water, juices, pop, shakes and alcohol" He said
"I would like a glass of.... mixed berry tea," I said as the lady from earlier came by
"OK and-" He looks at the girl
"Lisa you can't just sit at a strangers table" Mickey stated
"I am not sitting at a strangers table...I am sitting at a friends table" She smiled
"Ma'ma if you're in danger please wink," He said looking at me
"Oh shut up, Don't mind him" She chuckled as did I
"What did you want to drink? Coffee with 2 sugars?" He asked
"You know it," She said
"I'll be back ladies," He said walking off
"Now, Hi I am Lisa Mcgrave," She said putting her hand out
"Nice to met you, I am Claire Mason," I said checking it
"Thank you for inviting me. You have no idea what my days been like" She said
"You have no idea the day I've had" I laughed
We got to know each other a little better. Mickey came back and took our orders and Lisa started to tell me about her day...
