Anneliese's POV

Today I decided to wear the necklace Julian had give me. Now I am in my design room crocheting a dress. "Why don't you ever wear one of these dresses?" April asks as she holds a dress to herself looking at it in the mirror. She is my assistant and is in charge of the budget as well as advertising.

"Because most dresses I make are for little girls and the occasional wedding dresses" I tell her.

"But they are so beautiful, look at this black one you're doing now" she states. I smile as I finish the last blossom and put the needle away. "It's gorgeous, but why did she want it in black and not sky blue?" she asks. (Picture of the dress: https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1048/0248/products/t2rzryxhdxxxxxxxxx__1891244210_grande.jpeg?v=1496959987).

"No idea, I just make the dresses and ask no questions" I tell her as I go to hang up the dress.

"What is that around your neck?" she asks and I look at the necklace.

"It was a gift" I say shrugging.

"A very expensive gift" she states taking a closer look at it. "By the way what happened that night two weeks ago? You promised to meet me and tell me how it went at the sperm bank. But you never came" she says pouting.

"Sorry, nothing happened at the sperm bank" I tell her. "I couldn't go through with it and went to the bar to drown my sorrows. Only to meet this hot guy who took out on an amazing date and offered to help me get pregnant" I explain.

"Shut up, so you're not a?" she asks.

"Yeah not anymore" I say and she squeals happily. She wanted to hear about everything and I told her leaving out the specifics of my time with Julian. "But he left town the next morning, so I'll never see him again. He left this as a reminder of our time together" I tell her pointing to the necklace.

"Wow, I'm so happy for you" she says giving me a hug. "I'll go call the lady and tell her the dress is ready" she adds. We got back to work, me designing some new dresses and finishing anyone's that needed finishing. I design, make, mend and crochet any dress. But I do it all by hand like my Great grandmother, grandmother and mother before me. This shop belong to my grandmother before she died passing it onto me to run. Mum is a massive designer in Australia and is starting to be noticed by the rest of the world. She helps me occasionally or has me make her designs for her fashion shows. I'm happy just owning this store and continuing my ancestors legacy of making dresses without machines. Sure it takes longer, but it is so worth it in the end. As I work my mind wonders thinking about what Julian might be doing now.

(Venice, Italy) Julian's POV

"Have you listened to a word I've said?" mother asks annoyed. I sigh looking back at her and shake my head. I was day dreaming about Anne again, I miss her so much and regret leaving her behind. "You have marry and produce an heir, you are to be crowned king at the end of the year" she tells me.

"Mother, why can't I rule the kingdom alone?" I ask her. "I'm not ready to marry or have children" I tell her.

"It is a tradition that every prince or princess is married before they ascend the throne. You have only ten months left and I want grandchildren" she tells me.

"You may already have one" I mumble.

"What was that dear?" she asks.

"Nothing, so what do you suggest I do?" I ask her.

"If you don't find a someone to marry in two months time, you shall marry Princess Abigail" she tells me.

"But mother, I don't love her and you can't expect me to fall in love in two months time" I tell her.

"Oh I can, there is to be a ball this weekend and all the eligible maidens will be there" she states.

"I can't marry Abigail or any other girl" I tell her annoyed standing up.

"And why not?" she asks.

"I meet this girl in Adelaide two weeks ago and she maybe carrying my child as we speak" I say feeling a weight lift off of my shoulders.

"Why haven't you mentioned her before?" mother asks annoyed.

"Because we leave in different countries and live in different social groups. It was lucky we meet at all and we had a one night stand. So that she could have the baby she's been dying to have, I left her the necklace" I explain.

"You mean to tell me, you gave a commoner our family necklace?" she asks and I nod my head. "Julian Marcus Granger that necklace was for your future bride, my future daughter in-law!" she shouts. She takes a deep breath going into deep thought. "You have to find her and marry her" she states smiling.

"I can't do that, it'll completely turn her world upside down" I state. "She doesn't know who I am or what the necklace is worth. If I just show up on her doorstep asking for her hand in marriage telling her everything. She could go into shock and start to stress badly, which isn't good if she is pregnant" I tell her.

"You will do as you're told or you will be marrying Princess Abigail in two months" she tells me sternly. "Now I'll go book your flight, go pack your suitcase we're going to Adelaide" she states.

"But what about the kingdom?" I ask her.

"My brother can run things while we're gone, besides if anything important comes up. I'll just fly back, but you aren't returning until you find that girl" she state. She shuts the door behind her and I sigh as I begin to pack. But if I was telling the truth, I was excited about seeing Anne again.
