XXII. First Mission (3)

I saw a shadow hovering me, while I was picking the four golden leaf plants that I need to gather to complete my quest, and slowly turn around.

I saw a very big snake right in front of me and looking down at me as if I was its prey waiting to be devoured.

I gulp down since it was my very first time to see a very big snake in person, not in a zoo (it was impossible it to be in a zoo as it was really big and long just like the movie 'Anaconda') or on a screen. I paled that all my blood drained at me, sweat profusely drips by drips fell from me, my hand (and my whole body) was actually shaking that the four golden leaf plant that I was holding fell from my hands, and the most dangerous was my mind gone blank.

I was freakily scared right now!

Before my mind react, my body started to move when the Black Viper attacks me. Yup. This big scary anaconda was actually the Black Viper that guild requesting to subjugate, a mission for rank B adventurers, a real sixth grade magical beast!!!

As I roll on the ground to escape from its attack, my mind started to reorganize and I can now think clearly.

The Black Viper attacked me again using it tail and to escape, I leap over and fell on my knee without any injury, brought out my bow and arrow and started to run to create an opportunity to counter attack.

Compared to my earlier fight, fighting Black Viper was more dangerous but I have no choice but to fight since Black Viper is a really fast creature and with my current level, I have no privilege to think about it since I can't outrun it, the only choice I have is to fight to death. It's either the black viper dies or I.

As I run, I tied the robe on my arrow and started to aim a shot to the strongest and biggest tree that I saw. Using the rope connected to the tree, I jump high, holding the tree and hang over the tree to the next tree just like a monkey always does before the mouth of the black viper bite me.

From the tree, I continued to aim a shot the black viper but with no avail since the scale of this d*mnable snake is so thick that it was hard to penetrate.

With my obvious failed plan and only make the black viper angry, it swing its tail on the tree I was on and it violently shake before it fall.

I jump to another tree before I fell by aiming another shot just what I did earlier. Having a high intelligence, the black viper obviously knew my next action at it spit its acidic poison to the tree cutting the rope I was leaning on. I was violently fall on the ground and roll. I groaned by the pain I sustain from fall but I have no time to curse another failed plan since I need to evade another strike from the black viper's tail.

Think.Think.Think

If a creature has a very strong defense and high magic resistance, what kind of attack I should do to kill my enemy?

My eyes lit up when I remember something.

If the outside is hard then the inside was soft and vulnerable, right?

I smirked when I remember that and tried to think another plan on how I can aim the mouth of this hateful creature.

When the black python reached me, it once again attack me and I smoothly dodge and then leaps really high to aim the black viper from mid-air. It was my very first time to make this move. I've been dreaming to make this exact move whenever I watched it in movie so my move was not as smooth just like in any action movie and obvious inexperience.
