XLI. Engagement Party (6)

Wattpad was under maintenance for a couple of days now so you might notice some problem happening... just like in my story, I've been repeatedly re-published the other chapters yet when I saw it again, it was not publish. There is also some part were I can't receive any notifications, so, I don't know what to do anymore but to wait until the wattpad system will be back to normal(?).

Tonight was my and William's engagement party that will be held at the palace in a masquerade theme.

I will be excited since it is my very first time masquerade ball party if it is not my engagement with someone I don't love *sigh*

Fortunately, William and I made a plan to stop the possibility of marriage. I don't wants to marry that a**hole, the heroine can have him all she wants but I am not.

Everyone in the mansion is busy for the preparation and even my parents and siblings can't be seen. It will be an auspicious day if not the man I will be engage at was not the prince.

"Are you alright?"

I jump up when I heard Al's voice from behind. He chuckles at my reaction and pinch my cheek.

"You really had a cute reaction, my queen"

Eh?

Queen?

I should be angry at him since there really is a possibility of me being a queen since I might be married to William but when the word 'queen' came from his mouth, my heart skip a beat. Hearing him called me 'my queen' makes me feel that I already heard someone called me that way before... but I can't remember at all or maybe it was just my imagination.

"So, you're going to be engage, huh" he said in a very dangerous and scary voice.

I raised my left eyebrow and crossed arm in front of him. "Who wants to be engaged?"

He smile, the brightest and sweetest smile that I saw from him then he murmur again that my hearings can't be heard. "You better be or else I'll destroy everything and everyone"

"Huh? Did you say something?"

"Nothing" then he made a move that I never thought he will do and it makes my heart beat faster than the train.

He kissed me.

Yes, my dearest. He kissed me on my... cheek.

Then he winks at me before he left as Jane and the others enter the room.

"Celine-sama, are you okay?"

I unconsciously nodded at her even though I did not understand her question since my mind is drifting away and my soul left my body.

For four and a half hours, the preparation for the party finished.

I felt I am going numb from doing my hair, my looks and even my gown.

This time, I let Jane and Lara (one of my maid) put a make up on me. Even if I hated this day that doesn't mean I don't want to look pretty especially in front of Alistair.

I blushed when I remember him kissing me this morning.

Kyaaaa~

After that, I look in the full length mirror inside my room and twirl around to look at my gown.

It is a very beautiful white-pinkish gown. It really complements with my skin complexion while my light make-up that they put on my face as well as my hairstyle highlights my facial features.
