XXXV. Ten Years Old

Fate is inevitable.

That was the words that keep popping inside my head after what happened at the royal tea party.

When I woke up the next day, I remember the event in the game and what happened at the party... it is almost exactly the same. The difference was that I did not initiate the mess but the heroine herself.

In the game, because of jealousy, Celine started to loathe Rosette and when they meet at the buffet table, just like what real Rosette did was exactly what in-game Rosette does except that she trip herself while doing so while in the game, Celine pushed her because of annoyance and jealousy.

The punishment given by the king and the expressions of each love targets as well as the heroine was also exactly the same thing but in the game, it is not showed about what I and Kyle talks about after we left the study... well, of course the game will not care about this little details or maybe because the in game Celine and Kyle are never close in the first place while in reality we are close that we sometimes sleep at the same bed... but now, it will never happen again.

I don't want to have anything to do to someone who will betray me in the end.

I became cold and distant to Kyle, and so was he.

I don't even know the Kyle, my little brother now... he is different.

I don't know when it started but he changed. He is no longer the cute and puppy-like little brother of mine but someone stranger to me.

I don't know who he is now... or maybe I really don't know him from the start and so he is to me.

Is everything we've been through are all lies?

It's been eight months since then and I am now ten years old.

Because of what happened, father and mother didn't allow me to go out or meet any of my friends. Well, I am busy and so they are but we exchanged letters from here and then... and even if we didn't see each other, we became close like a real sisters.

The royal tutor also arrived, second days after the party and Miss Madeline was a strict teacher. She didn't even care whether I am a Duke's daughter as she will lash me with her whip whenever I made a mistake or scolded me whenever I did something wrong... with or without my parents.

My friends also started an intense etiquette training, order by the King so even if I felt unfairness from this, when I heard about their misfortune, my mood brightens up.

We promised to meet each other after a year and we will start our adventure as a normal adventurer. Dianne and jasmine was hesitated at first but eventually agreed because of Coleen's pleading, she was forced by Michelle to do so with her normal threat.

Older brother was now a third year which makes him busy more and in this eight months, I only saw him for at least two to three times but he still sends me letter and telling me about his life at Ygdrassil Magical Academy. I even tease him if he got a girlfriend or like someone else and he just answered me, "I'm busy and too young for love". Oh well, maybe he was shy or maybe I should asked a boyfriend, not a girlfriend *giggles*

For these eight months, I never talked to Kyle again and he always hides himself inside his room. I was worried about him but his betrayal still engraved in my heart that I don't have any strength to talk to him again.

I am worried that he will eventually be broke down and happened to him what will happen to in-game Kyle. Remember, in the game, Kyle tried to kill himself? If it is not the heroine saving him before something happened, Kyle will really die...

I am angry at him but that doesn't mean I wanted him to die... maybe time will heal our wounds and I might eventually have the strength to have a heart to heart talk to him. No matter what, he is still my baby brother and no one can change that.

Aside from my etiquette lesson, I also secretly sneak in the gravity room to train martial arts.

My outer base mana which is bronze level is already in the bottleneck and if I can improve my mage level which is 40% of yellow level, I can reach silver base level, a great help for my archery.

Father also wanted me to train the family clan's swordsmanship techniques. He asked me for a couple of time to try to touch a sword. I trained swordsmanship before but because of my love to archery, I finally give up the sword and touch the bow and arrow.

I hesitated at first but because father really wanted to pass to me the technique, which was also learned by oniisama, I eventually agreed.

I postponed my archery training and started to swing a sword.

He taught me different basic stance for swordsmanship before I can learn the family techniques.

When he saw me, his moods always brighten. When I asked him the reason why, he said that was because I am actually good at swords and even told me that I am better than oniisama when he was at my age. Well, I was flattered but I still won't give up archery.

Archery was my light in my former life and since I am allowed to touch it in this life, I don't have any plan to give it up. I just don't want to disappoint father.
