She was not a whiner or someone who easily cried. Usually when she cried she was angry. But lately she had cried a lot. Having darkness personified in your life could do that. But never had she felt so conflicted. She had never been that high and now as she was , she was scared.

I love you, Drake said those words, her parents, her grandmother...so many people said those words and those who meant it are dead now.

She loved the feeling of being loved by none other than Ayduin but the dreadful feeling followed behind. He can't love her. Why did he love her? Why should he love her? She was not a person with low self-esteem but she was cursed. She didn't want anyone to love her, well she did but she couldn't allow it.

He had made all the dangerous, reckless decisions for her. He said too clearly and boldly, he loved her. Ayduin, the prince of Elm Lenora with deep, seductive, too cool voice loved her. Could this be another dream?

Can you make a decision now? He had asked and she was stunned, speechless.

He was challenging her to face the fears and accept his heart. But they were not just fears or assumption or superstition. This was all true and she had seen people die. It was no denying she was brutally cursed. How could he even love her knowing the disgusting truth about her?

But maybe that is what love is, unconditional, irrevocable and innocent.

She thought about it all day, in her sword fighting lessons which surprisingly her mother allowed. Her session with the doctor in which she was normal after all the shrieking drama she pulled off a few days ago.

He was banished because of her, he believed her knowing that Darkmir took an unnecessary interest in her. He never questioned her dreams and even told her that the one saw your aura was your heaven-made match.

Thankfully he had left her to think, to make a decision as brave as his. But there was nothing brave about putting his life online just for her selfish reasons. But he loves you knowing the danger Aislin. She was confused, hopeless and wrecked.

What should she say that will not hurt him, now or ever?

She slept thinking and over thinking, after taking her prescribed pill. Tonight she needed them just to calm her nerves and put her overactive mind and heart to rest.

Naturally, the dreams followed.

She recognized the hall, it was the one where Ayduin was given the traditional guardian ritual. Everyone was gathered like before but it was not illuminated and decorated like before. Ayduin mind was filled with sadness and pain. First, he didn't want to be a guardian and now when he was kicked out of the position he was miserable about it.

He might be the mighty ice prince but his mind was fickle like every young person.

She remembered the ritual earlier was quite painful and she hoped rebranding him will not be as painful. Angelique looked with slight disgust at him while others were nonchalant about it. Folred was a new addition and Aislin guessed he was now the only supporter left of Ayduin.

Kamron began the chanting first, this was not something new. Whenever a guardian grew old or crippled he was set free from his guardian duties. The circle where Ayduin sat with most heart-wrenching expression started burning and a circle of lava formed instead. Being Ice prince it was hard for heat to hurt him this soon.

He sat there as the lava closed in on his skin and burned it, as if to burn out the marks made by the Warriors of Volcano. After a while, the lava vanished as if sucked in my ground leaving Ayduin body as it is. Kamron gasped as did the others around him.
