Jane laughs.
I shake my head at her and give her a confused look.

"What is so funny?" I whisper.
She elbows me in the side and gives me a death glare.
I fake laugh with her.
I get up and go I to the kitchen, beginning to make dinner.

It was 6:40. even though it was late for dinner, we haven't had anything.
I take out some noodles for spaghetti and boil some water.
After it is done I mix in the sauce and make four bowls.

One for Jane, Megan, Jacey, and me.

"Jane! Megan! Jacey! Dinner!" I call.

"Dinner you moron!" Jane yells down the hall to Megan.

She comes in the room and glares at me than sits down.
Jacey comes soon after and looks at Jane with an odd look on her face.
She starts eating and I call Megan again.

"Megan! Come and eat!"
"Maybe she finally noticed how fat she is."
Jane laughs.
I glare at her and go to Megan's door.

Knocking I ask again.
"Megan? Dinner." The door slightly opens and I walk in.
No. No no no!
The window was wide open and the white curtains were flowing from the wind.

Megan was gone.
Her things were gone.
But how would she leave?

Unless she took my car.
I go to the front door passing Jane and Jacey on the way.

She laughed as I went out the door.
Jacey stood up and followed me.
My car was sitting in the same spot.
And this morning she said her minutes were gone she she couldn't have called her mom.

Oh god.
She walked!
Why would she do that!

I bold inside and grab my keys. Also my phone.

"Where are you going pretty boy?" Jane asks.

"Just leave me alone."  I say as I get into my car.
"Max wait!" I look up and see Jacey jumping in the car with me.
"What's going on??"
She asked and I didn't respond.

I look in my rear view mirror where she is stomping inside.
I laugh and start driving.
I hope I can find her.

Maybe she isn't to far.
It's only 7:00 now.

"Max. What is going on?"

Megan's p.o.v

I woke up in the morning and stretched out my back.
It really hurts sleeping on the ground!
And it's so cold.

I stand up and put my backpack on my shoulders.
Looking left that right, I go right.
I don't really know where I am going anymore. But I need to find something, anything!

I walk for about 35 minutes and stop at another T.
I did not remember any of this.
I'm For sure lost.

I just take a right and keep walking.
I was walking up a hill when I hear a car behind me.
I turn around and saw a blue truck. It looked familiar.

How did that look so familiar?!
They pulled up next to me and I stop.
"Oh my god!" I  smile to the person in the truck.

"Joey?" I ask.
"That's me. Hey kid, you have grown." Joey smiles at me.
"Just a tad." I laugh.
"Need a ride?" He asks.
"Yes please. I just want to get to the gas station. Than I need to call my mom to pick me up."

"Ok, well hop in." I open the car door and get in.
Joey was one of my moms good friends till he moved north.
I was 12 when he left and I always loved taking rides in his big blue truck.
I don't know why.
It was just really fun.

Thank god he is here.
I would be stranded, not knowing where I was going for another few days.
And let me tell you.

I am starving!

"Here we are kido." Joey turns into the parking lot.
"Thanks so much Joey." I get out of the car and close the door.
"No problem. Call me when you get home. So I know you made it." He waves and takes off.
I find a phone in the front.

I put a few quarters in and dial my moms number.
It rings, and rings, than.
Then it goes to voicemail.

Mom! I wait for it to let me make a message for her.

'Hey mom? It's me Megan. Call me back as soon as you get this!' I hang up and slap my forehead,

Did I really just tell my mom to call me back?!
I have no Minutes!
I am such a retard!

I sigh and go I to the store to get some food.
I guess I will just call her back later.

I walk around till Ifind something to eat. grabbing the small bag and walking to the counter.

I also get a water.
"It that all for you today?" The guy asks.
"Yes please." I smile up at him.

He scans my items and asks me if I wanted a bag.
I said no and grabbed my things after paying and went back outside.
I eat my food and go back to the payphone. Calling my mom again.

She doesn't answer.
Again!
What is it with her and not answering her phone!
I look around and start walking the same way I came from.
Maybe I can get back to the cabin or something.

Walking down the same road feels weird.
I am going back to the horrible girl who started this all.

I stop dead in my tracks when I see about three bears.
There is a mother and two baby's.

What do I do?
I always forget.
Is it stay still? is it run for your life?
ugh whatever, I'm going to pick run for my life!

I start running into the trees and trip on a rock falling down a large hill.
That gained attention from the momma bear. They were right behind me and I start running again.

I feel a stinging plain in my left ankle. It better not be broken! I keep running till I turn and they stopped a while back.

I could still see them walk off over a hill. I sigh In relief and start walking in the trees.

And I didn't know where I was before! Now I can't even tell which way the street is!

Max's p.o.v

I keep driving on the road to a gas station that was the opposite of the closer one.

I slam on the breaks when three bears came walking out of the left side of the forest.

'What the heck!" I yell at them. The mother looks at me and I put my hands up with my eyes wide.

Please don't kill me! please don't kill me!

I plead. she keeps walking across and when all three at out of sight I keep driving.

When I reach the store I go inside and go to the girl at the cash register.

"Hello. Can you tell me if you have seen this girl?" I ask holding a picture of Megan up from my phone.

"I'm sorry. I don't know. I just started my shift a few minutes ago. but tom is in the parking lot about to leave. You can ask him." She suggests.

"Thank you." I call to her and run outside.

"Tom?! tom!" I keep shouting till a man gets out of his car.

"Uh, i'm tom?" He looks at me confused.

I run up to him and show him the picture of Megan.

"Have you seen her?" I ask. he nods his head and points to the way I came from.

"She came a got something. than went that way. She also used the payphone twice."

I nod my head and thank him. Getting into my car and speeding down the road.

Maybe I can catch up to her. I don't know how i didn't see her! Maybe she is already back at the cabin.
