taehyung

"j-jimjn," i cried, looking up at the strong boy.

"yes, taehyung?" jimin said, so lovingly.

"w-why are you here? don't you h-hate me?" i choked, putting my face back into his chest.

"h-hate you? i don't even remember you, taehyung," he said confusedly, taking my chin to look into my eyes.

"you don't remember me?" i asked, crying at the thought of the love of my life not even knowing my name. (a/n. how i feel towards you, tae)

"i-i'm sorry," he pouted, hugging me tighter.

"no, don't be sorry. i should be the sorry one," i said, voice deeper than normal.

"why would you be sorry?"

shit. do i tell him the truth?

"i-uh because you had to save a guy you don't even know from the streets, and you're still carrying him," i giggled, hitting his arm.

"o-oh. here do you want me to put you down?" he asked.

"no, i like it in your arms," i smirked.

his face turned beet red.

"ugh you flirt!" he growled, hitting my arm, now walking at a normal pace.

"sorry," i pouted, laughing.

we stayed quiet for a little while.

i found myself looking up at him, as he looked proudly forwards, carrying a grown man.

"uh um, where are we going?" i asked.

"coffee shop. i want to get to know you. my supposedly 'best friend'," he answered.

"oh, okay."

a few minutes later, i was brought into a coffee shop.

it smelt delicious and warm.

compared to the mucky weather we, or should i say he, walked in.

"so, uh. you already know me. probably more than i do. so, talk about yourself for me," he smiled.

"well, uhh... i'm an only child. we met a few years ago during our last year in high school. you were my closest friend. and uh, i've been living miserably these past years. my few friends having to basically take care of me because i could barely function," i started.

"oh, wow. i-i'm so sorry that it's this way. i really wish i could remember you. i really do, taehyung. you seem like a great guy," he sincerely said.

"again, is not your fault. you didn't want this," i half lied.

"thank you for understanding, taehyung," he started, taking my hand into his. "i'm really starting to like you. i think that's telling me that our friendship is indeed real," he finished, smiling.

"please, call me tae. or taehyungie, taetae, anything really," i giggled.

"okay, taebae," he giggled back.

"taebae?" i laughed.

"yeah... taebae. it suits you," he smiled.

the nickname.

so familiar.

maybe we are destined to be.
