Melody POV

I can't believe I have to sit next to him. I don't need his help I don't want his help. When I walked in I saw Angie. Rage was the first thing I felt when I saw her, but then it turned into betrayal. I trusted her. I would give my life for her. I would still give my life for her, because I love her. No matter how hard I tried to changed that answer throughout the month I couldn't. At first I knew she had them throw me into the car to save the Heaven's and my life. But to sit in a car and watch and hear you bestfriend cry for help. I know that was no act.

Out of the corner of my eye I see Ricardo move. I quickly face him.
"I thought for sure, I would have scared you into hiding." He whispers into my ear.
"You thought wrong," I say turning my whole body to face him, "it's gunna take more than a few cuts and bruises to scared me into hiding." I say to him and face forward.
"Oh and sorry. I can't imagine how it feels to be betrayed by the one you trust the most." He says and continues working. I look at him and get up.

I walk up to the teachers desk and give him the practice test he handed out.
"Done already?" He says raising a brow.
"Yes." I say walking away to pack up my things.
"You may go." The teacher says before I sit back down. "Wait here a is a list of assignments you must make up."

Okay, just because I wasn't in school for a month doesn't mean I slacked off. If anything I'm ahead. And according to this sheet I am ahead three chapters. I go back to my desk and start packing up my things.

"Where are you going?" Ricardo asks me as I'm packing my bag. I hope he knows I don't have to answer that. When I'm about to push in my chair, he grabs me by the arms and pulls me down.
"This school is my kingdom now. You need to know who runs it." He whispers harshly into my ear. I smirk and reply, "funny. I don't remember leaving you to watch my kingdom for me." I get out his grip and walk put the classroom.

When I walk out the classroom everyone is staring at me like they have never seen me before. I hear someone whisper, "she's back. I knew she wouldn't leave us." I look at the girl who said that a smiled. I want to know everything that's been going on.
I walk out the building and onto the field near a tree that Angie and us used to hangout at.

I touch the tree and remember the first time we started hanging out here.

"Babe. What are you doing over here? The boys been yelling you name for 15 mintues already." Angie says walking towards me.
"It's this pretty. Look at the trees. How one covers the other. How you guys couldnt find me, but walked past me five times." I say sitting up.
"Babe, come on get up the boys are looking for you on the other side of the field."
"Then let's sit here and wait till they find us." I say patting a spot next to me.
Angie is hesitant but sits down anyway.
"I was worried about you." She says hugging me.
"You never have to worry about me. Trust me I'm not leaving anytime soon." I say hugging her back. I start to lie down. She let's me rest my head on her leg. About 5 mintues later, Selvin finds us and pulls me by my feet. Ariel does the same action to Angie. But unlike Ariel, Selvin decides to get on top of me and pin my arms to the ground.
"Where have you been?" He whipers lightly into my ear that it tickles.
"Here. The whole time." I say trying to squirm out of the position we are in.

"Get off of her." Denilson says pushing Selvin off of me and helping me up.
"Thanks for the hand." I say as he helps me up. I look around and see everyone around.
"Can this be out hangout place? Please." I say as they all nod there heads. I smile and quickly sit back down. Denilson takes a seat next to me and we all start talking.

"What are you doing?"
I'm sitting down crying in my legs, you idiot can't you see. That is what I want to say but I don't. I wipe my tears making sure he doesn't    them.
"I'm sitting down." I say lookin up at the guy. It's Alex out of all the people to come it had to be him. He couldn't wait for me. I don't want to talk to him. We had something but he cheated on me with my sister. I forgive him just haven't told him yet. But I will not be with him if he is just playing me. No. He has a girl and everyone here knows that. I'm here now. And now. I know.
"Yeah. I can tell, I mean what are you doing back?"
"What do you mean? I came to school to learn, why else would I come to school?" I say to him. Now I'm starting to lean on the tree.
"You should have came back." He says sitting down next to me.

Why? I want to know what happened during my absences. I need to know.
"Why?" I ask. He looks at me with and grabs my face to make sure I'm looking into his eyes.
"You'll ruin everything." He says, with no time of emotion.
Ouch. Okay, fine I still have a little feelings. I hoped that I at least had someone on my side but no. The only people that are on my side are Denilson and Ariel.

"If you feel as if my presence will ruin your chance with other girls, you're wrong. You ahead and date other girls. I don't give a fuck!" I say standing up getting ready to walk away. Wow. This is how it's meant to be. I'm meant to be alone. I stand up straight and being to walk away. But I'm rudely stopped by a guy who's chest I bumped into.

"Sorry." I say trying to go around but the guy grabs my arms and smirks. He has light brown eyes, the popular have the top and shave the sides hair do. His hair is brown, light brown to me exact.
"Let me go!" I yell trying to get out his grip.
"Your pretty, so pretty. I wonder if you are broken." He says to me.
"Aye, nigga she said let her go." Alex says standing up and pulled me out of the guys grip.
"Is she yo girl?" The guy says trying to get a view of me over the guys head.
"Nope." Alex says with no emotion. "But I'm not going to sit here and watch you bully this girl." Alex says.

"Oh. So, you're getting out of line because you want to do the right thing. Well you should of thought about that before you joined the gang. Now move." The guys says to Alex.

"Alex, please don't." I say. I'm scared, thats coming from a person who never had to fear anything.
"I thought you would be more of a challenge. Since people were talking about you like some kind of legend." The guy says. I'm still standing behind Alex.
"Alex move, and prove to me that you loyalty stands with the gang and not her." The guy says her with a disgusted face expression.

Alex looks at me and turns his head back around.
"I can't do that." Alex says standing his ground. Right when he says that the guy turns around, while he turns I grab the gun, Ariel put in my backpack during the drive here. I didn't know it was in my backpack until I started putting away my stuff. When the guy turns back around he aims a gun at Alex while I aimed a gun at him.
"Huh, so you do know how to stand and defend?" He says to me.
"I defend those who need me to defend them. I'm not selfish. I would rather put my life before an innocent person." I say standing in front of Alex.
"You know, I've never missed a shot." He says to me.
"People keep telling me that, yet they still couldn't hit me." I say pointing the gun at his head.

"That's enough. Edwin stand down." I hear someone say. He puts his gun away and just stares at me.
"Edwin, what a ugly ass name." I say to him.
Edwin grabs me by the waist and pulls me towards him and says, "so pretty. But you have a shitty personality."
"You must be looking in a mirror." I say getting out of his grip and taking a few steps back. He laughs.
"You have a lot of ballz talkin to me like that," he says, "no one has never talked me to like that. The rumors are true then. You're going to be the one to take my kingdom from me."
"What the fuck are you talking about? This was never your kingdom to begin with." I say to him. The fires in his eyes instantly light as I say that. He takes two steps towards me and grabs me by my arm. He starts to squeeze my arm which starts to hurt because of all the bruises but I'm not showing it.
"Ay pendijo, let her go." Alex yells trying to loosen his grip.

"Edwin stand down!" I hear a girl say. She walks to the front of the crowd and pushes Edwin back. She faces me and there she is, my best friend standing against me, instead of by my side.
"You need to stop and back down." Angie says to me.
"Who's going to stop me?" I say getting all in her face. Out of the corner of my eye I Ricardo walk up. Angie notices too and stares back at me.
"You always want to challenge someone, don't you? Always have to be in charge. Well sorry to break it to you, but there is a new ruler around this part!" Angie says to me.
"And who may I ask is in charge? You? Or him?" I say referring back to Ricardo and Angie.

"Look, I'm the new princess around this part. I'm the one in charge." Angie says to me.
"I'm the queen of these parts, thank you for taking care of my kingdom during my absents. But the queen has returned!" I yell to the crowd that has formed throughout the time. Angie just stares at me when I turn around and look at her. Then I walk away to find someone. The only person who will tell me what's been going on.
