A/N: I havn't played any of the DLC so I have no clue what happened with Revali in the past, so I'm just making something up. For the readers that might get confused.

Clack clack clack. Horse steps can be heard walking on cobble roads. The stranger in the group is fascinated by the huge stone wall surrounding an even bigger city. Eyes and mouth wide open, frantically looking at everything, taking every little detail in at once. A light chuckle escapes Revalis mouth at witnessing such a delightful sight. He can only remember his first time in Hyrule castle. He was only an ordinary Rito, no special blood flowing through his veins. Only his skill with the bow. But he was still chosen as champion. "Trying to get a bug in your mouth (y/n)? If you wanted to snack on something I could've given you an apple you know." snickered Urbosa. She only laughs more at the embarrassed (y/n) quickly closing her mouth. "Is the castle in your land not as big? I always thought this is the standard size of one." questioned Mipha. "No, our's is way smaller. And we have a village around us not a hole town." admitted the ice princess. "Is there a reason as to why it is like that?" asks Zelda. "Well, my father never could bear the thought of people getting injured or worse because of him. So he ordered the castle be built at an remote place with only a small, but strong, village around. That way, if someone ever tried attacking the royal family little to no ordinary people get hurt. And I think the reason as to why the castle lacks at size is because he'd rather use the money for his folk. We don't need to show that we're important, if our people suffer from it." answers (y/n). "That's a nice way to rule a country." noted Link, suprising everyone. "Ok Mr Hero, if I ask you something you nearly never actually talk with me, but now you commented on something by yourself!? Wow rude much. What do gotta say to this huh?" argued Urbosa. Link only shrugged the comment away and concentrated on the road ahead. Townspeople stop their daily life and stare at the group. Zelda spots some familiar faces in the crowds that are forming and waves to them. After a lot of greetings they finally are in the castle. "(y/n) please come with me. Everyone else go rest for the day." orders Zelda. (y/n) nods and follows Zelda. They walk through doors, up the staircases and through the corridors, but the walk seems to never end for poor (y/n). This building is just way bigger than she's used to. After what felt like hours of walking the two stand in front of king Rhoam. "Hello father, I have brought a guest from our neighboring kingdom. This is princess (y/n) from Kantla." Says Zelda while (y/n) does a small curtsy. "She was sent to help us with the Calamity. She is a magic user and very skilled with every weapon, except the bow." finished Zelda. " It's a pleasure to meet you my majesty." (A/N: Bla bla bla. let's just skip this part. We all want to see the romance happen don't we?)

...

Revali and (y/n) are now at Tabantha Bridge Stable. (y/n)'s laying in her bed while Revali sits in the bed next to hers and polishes his arrows. Not a word has been said between the two since Hyrule castle. (y/n) tried to break the ice, but as the antisocial person she is, no topic to talk about came to her mind. She suddenly got up from her bed and is now sitting on the bed, looking at Revali. "Isn't it weird that princess Zelda wants me to learn archery, just because I am not good at it? I mean yeah I'm bad but I can easily defend myself with other weapons." stated the female. "Who knows what's going on in that mind of hers. Maybe she doesn't want you to get killed, because then the good ties between the two kingdoms breaks?" Revali answers without looking up from polishing. "Either way I'm glad that I'm here with you." The arrow loosens out of Revalis grasp and falls to the floor. "W-why would you say something like that? I know being around me does make people glad and happy, because I'm a gift. But seriously why do think that way?" "Nobody is allowed to say that they're better then someone from the royal family. It says in an old legend, that you're going to get punished by Kantlanus himself if you do. There is no real evidence that that's true, but no one wants to risk their life for that. And now you... you have this arrogant personality. It's so new to me. Spending time with you is so interesting." Revali has a small blush dusted on his cheeks, he desperately thinks of something to say to that, but her smile distracts him. 'Come on think!' "Well that's the first time someone said that about my personality. They always say I'm annoying or an asshole. But like that's not really true" His words just keep flowing. He exposes his insecurities just like that without having a second thought. What has this girl done to him in this short amount of time, they've been together? "You see, my father never really noticed me. He only saw my brother. He was better at everything. He could cook, fly really long without getting tired, hunt and he was a good singer! And then there's me. I was only an average bow user at the time. I worked hard each and every day, trying to overpass my brother and finally getting recognized by my father. Finally feeling loved by my father. One day I came up with this move, I called it Revalis Gale. You create an up drift with your wings and shoot yourself of the ground. It's unique and strong. I thought maybe now he'll see me. I showed it to him and my brother. He was really proud of me, he even pet my head and at that moment I could see my brothers face twist in fury. I kept on training with the bow and my brother tried to master Revalis Gale. He couldn't. He trained day and night at our shooting range, but he never succeeded. And then it happened. He was in midair, hovering on a strong gust of wind, still trying to get the hang of the movement, when a storm came. He got caught off guard and was tossed through the sky. He fell. The impact of the ground instantly killed him." Revali sits on his bed, hands shaking. (y/n) sits down next to him and takes hold of his hands. "You don't have to tell me if you're not comfortable talking about it," She reassured him. He looks around the stable only finding one traveller passed out on a bed far away from them. "No, I've never told anyone about this. And well... Once father heard that he was killed because he was practicing my move.... Let's just say he doesn't own a son anymore. I still tried getting his attention some how. I tried everything until I've heard of the champions. I had to join them. That was the only way I could get him to love me. With this new found determination, I mastered the bow and arrow. I journeyed to Hyrule castle, spoke with a lot of people, I showed my skills and became champion. Now with a new title and a divine beast at hand I'd be his son again... But I guess it wasn't meant to be. A horde of Moblins attacked the village and my father died defending it while I was gone." Revali lowers his head to (y/n)s hands. "I was never able to get him to like me." A tear rolls down his face wettening her hands. (y/n) doesn't hesitate and takes Revali right into her arms. "W-why was I never good enough!?" Revali voice gets louder from his little outburst. "Shhhh It's all ok Revali, you've done nothing wrong. It is your fathers fault at some point for not giving you the attention you deserve. Revali please look me in the eyes." He shakily looks up. Teary green eyes looking at calm (e/c) ones. "Do you know what I think about you? I think you are the most skilled archer I have ever meet in my entire time. Everytime you do your signature move it feels as if time has stopped. I'm always in a good mood after talking with you. You know why? Because you are the nicest Rito I have meet till now and just having you company is a blast. So never think that you're not good enough, because you are. And if there's someone that says the opposite, then I'm going to beat him up for saying such idiocy. Got that? So please don't be sad about the past. Be happy about the present and future." Revali returns the hug and cries a bit more. "Let it all out buddy, no one will judge." And so the Rito cried, he cried until there were no more tears left to be shed.Revali slips exhaustedly into a deep slumber. (y/n) lays him softly on his bed, being careful not to wake him. She puts the blanket on him and returns to her own bed. Drifting off to sleep as well.

...

"And here we are, Rito Village!" A huge rock with a weird shape lays before these two. (y/n) looks a little closer and sees wooden huts and shacks built on it. They both get off their horses and knot the reigns to a nearby tree. They walk up the stairs and meet a lot of people. On the way up Revali tells her things about the village. "And here we can see bla bla bla..." (y/n) listens intensely not wanting to upset the Rito by thinking he wouldn't be worth listening to. "This is my favourite place. It's called Revalis landing. Pretty neat right?" Revalis chest feathers puff up showing his pride. "That's really cool. I don't have anything named after me. I'm getting a little jealous, hihi" joked (y/n). "Oh stop it (y/n), our next stop is the Rito Chieftain Kaneli. He'd love to get to know the person that's helping the champions."
