Gathering before the Games

Third Person POV
Misaka had gotten dressed for today's evening event and was waiting for Nagisa, it was still too early to leave but Misaka had reminded him that he had to take Ravel too as she was 'engaged to him'. Misaka had irritated him by saying,"We don't want to forget your wife, do we?" Nagisa had agreed only have forcing her to stop calling Ravel that, which had taken a some time. Currently Misaka was wearing a white open jacket with purple lining and accents and a light grey t-shirt inside it. She wore snow camouflaged cargo pants with her P99 holster on her thigh and her sword on her back.

Moving her head up from the file about the recent traitor, she said,"Come on, your taking too much time." A voice from the room replied,"Yeah, I'm coming, just getting my guns" A couple of minutes later Nagisa came out wearing a black jacket with red lining and a red t-shirt with black cargo pants, with FN57 in a thigh holster and a folded FMG9 connected to his belt and finally Raikiri on his back. Nagisa said looking at Misaka,"As always you look good in white." Misaka smirked looking at him and said,"Well thanks, Kokushibyō. Shall be go?" Nagisa nodded and said sighing,"Yeah lets go, and get this over with. Tomorrow is going to be fun with the actual games." Misaka couldn't hep but nod.

As they got up and went to the station because Nagisa told her that it was considered bad etiquettes to teleport directly to the political gatherings, Misaka couldn't help but notice the gazes of a lot of people on them. Misaka turned to Nagisa and said,"What's up with all the gazes? Its tolerable but its creeping me out." Nagisa chuckled and said,"Must be because you're with me, I stayed in the underworld quite a lot, so people recognise me quite easily, considering I'm Zacharias's friend. He's quite a hero here." Misaka had a 'Oh' reaction on her face as they boarded a train. The people gave both of them some space as they entered as they entered. Before Misaka could ask what this was about, Nagisa said sighing,"I guess they weren't expecting us to be using the community trains. If only they treated me like a normal person, I'd be quite happy." Misaka couldn't help but stifle a laugh at Nagisa's comment.

In a few minutes they reached the Phenex territory and got off the train. As they exited the train a guard came up to them and said,"Umm...Are you Nagisa-sama and Misaka-sama by any chance?" As they nodded the guard breathed a sigh of relief and said,"I'm to guide you to the manor." As Nagisa and Misaka began following him, Misaka asked,"Were you posted there for us today?" Guard called a carriage and replied,"No, my lady. I was posted there a while back, so if you two ever came I could guide you to the manor because you hadn't come via the train earlier." As Misaka nodded, Nagisa asked,"By any chance, do you know if Riser will be coming to the gathering?" The guard shook his head and said,"From what I know, Riser-sama is being retrained by Lord Phenex, so he most likely will not be coming."

Nagisa nodded as the carriage arrived. The guard opening the door of the recently arrived carriage said,"They'll take you to the manor." Both Nagisa and Misaka thanked him getting into the carriage. As the door was shut Misaka said,"I really didn't expect this amount of formalities." Nagisa chuckled and said,"People may portray devils as evil characters, but they have one of the most proper etiquette systems that I have evey seen. They have customs that are really nice if seen in the right manner". Misaka couldn't help but nod as she looked outside to see people quite happy and carefree. These people felt like they were treated like the subjects of the most giving Royal families in the human world.

When they reached the Manor, the carriage stopped and a butler opened the door,"We were told of your arrival Nagisa-sama Misaka-sama. Please, the Lord and Lady are waiting for you." Nagisa and Misaka got out and thanked the person driving the carriage mildly surprising the butler. As the were being taken to the parlor Nagisa said,"Could you please send Ravel to the parlor when you go?" The butler bowed and said,"Of course Nagisa-sama". When they reached the parlor, the butler left to call Ravel and they both found Lord and Lady Phenex waiting for them, Lord Phenex started,"Welcome, Nagisa-san Misaka-san. We weren't expecting you here today." Nagisa smiled and said,"I'm sorry for intruding but I wanted to pick Ravel for the gathering today evening." Lord and Lady Phenex smiled and Lord Phenex said,"That's very nice of you. Will you be also taking part in the Ratings games?"
