Jenny strolled quietly down the street, in persuit of the Death Eater Gibbon. Ever since seeing him in the abandoned house, she had been unable to get him out of her mind. The Order of the Phoenix wanted her to persue more high ranking Death Eaters. But Jenny had chosen to dissobay their orders, and do what she wanted to do instead.
As she walked, she held a book in her hand, pretending to read it, looking up every so often to check on Gibbon.
When he suddenly turned right, down a small alley, Jenny came to a halt, before following him down.
When she stepped into the smaller street, she could no longer see Gibbon, and began to panic. She turned to look back down the mainstreet, but he wasn't there either.
"Looking for me?".Jenny quickly turned back around and found Gibbon less than a foot in front of her. She dropped the book, and raised her hand up to her pocket to grab her wand and defend herself.
"I wouldn't if I were you" said Gibbon.
Jenny stopped moving, but didn't say anything.
"You see, if you reach for your wand first, then that makes you the attacker, and I will have to defend myself" continued Gibbon.
Jenny folded her arms defensively, and stared back at him.
"That's better. Now why don't you tell me why you've been following me".Jenny decided to go against her training, and interact with the enemy.
"Who says I've been following you?".
Gibbon smiled.
"No offensive Miss, but you aren't the stealthiest person I've ever met. You've been on my trail for days now haven't you".
"Why didn't you say something sooner?" Asked Jenny.
Gibbon laughed.
"Because it was more fun to lead to you round in circles, and give you false information".
"Why didn't you just kill me?" Snapped Jenny.Gibbon didn't answer.
"Well you might have been able to lead me round in circles. But I was still able to follow you, you can't be that good if you couldn't shake me off your tail" continued Jenny.
"Maybe I didn't want you to stop following me" replied Gibbon.
"Did you tell anyone that I've been following you?"
"No"
"Why?"
"I've already told you. I like you following me. You're hot".
Jenny put her hands on her hips and blushed, looking at the ground, and avoiding eye contact. Gibbon took a step closer, so that he was barely an inch from Jenny's face.Jenny tried to step back, but Gibbon grabbed hold of her arm, stopping her from moving.
"Let me go" demanded Jenny.
Gibbon turned and pushed Jenny's back against the wall.
"Look, if you're going to kill me, then just get on with it" said Jenny, trying not to shake in fear.
"Why do you keep thinking that I'm going to kill you?" Asked Gibbon.
Jenny's eyes flicked to Gibbon's left arm, where his dark mark was. Gibbon released Jenny and pulled up his sleeve, revealing the mark.Jenny looked away, but she was too scared to move.
"Scare you does it?" Asked Gibbon.
Jenny shook her head unconvincingly.
"This doesn't define me you know" continued Gibbon, as he pulled his sleeve back down.
"You chose it, no one made you, that tells me what kind of person you are" spat Jenny.
Gibbon took a step back from Jenny and raised his arms.
"Go on then. Go" he said, gesturing back to the main street."I don't understand. You're letting me go?".
Gibbon nodded. "Yep".
"Why?"
"I told you. I'm not what you think I am".
Jenny began to walk away, but she refused to turn her back on him, in case he double crossed her.
"Is that it? No goodbye?" Asked Gibbon.
Jenny didn't answer, and carried on walking.
"At least tell me your name" begged Gibbon.
Jenny stopped walking and raised an eyebrow.
"Ash"."Ash. That's nice" complimented Gibbon.
"What's yours?" Quizzed Jenny.
"I assumed you already knew my name, that's why you've been following me these last few days"
"Gibbon".
Gibbon smiled.
"Its Jack, Jack Gibbon".
Jenny nodded, and began to walk away.
"Am I going to see you again Ash?" He asked.
Jenny sighed and stopped walking.
"If you're lucky" she replied.
Jack chuckled.
"Well I'll keep my fingers crossed".
"Me too" replied Jenny.Jack suddenly ran towards Jenny, and she thought he was going to attack her. He stopped a centremetre from her face.
Jack leaned in, and held her head in his hands, kissing Jenny aggressively on the lips.
When he released her she gasped loudly.
That was her first proper kiss from a boy, ever.
Jenny grabbed hold of his neck and kissed him back. It felt as if they were the only two people in the world. Nothing else mattered then, except the two of them.
Eventually it ended, and the two drew apart.
"I won't tell if you won't" whispered Jack.
"O.K" Jenny whispered back.
Jack smiled. "Goodbye Ash".
He took a step back from her, and dissapparated, leaving Jenny alone.
"Goodbye Jack" she whispered to the empty space where he had just stood. She couldn't believe what she had just done. She had kissed a Death Eater. A man who belonged to a group of people, who had helped murder her brother and his wife. Along with dozens of other witch's and muggles alike.
The Death Eaters were evil, she knew that. Anyone who followed Voldemort was an enemy. But still, she had kissed Jack back. She chose to do that. Did that make her a traitor?
She decided to walk back to the apartment she was staying in, instead of dissapparating. So that she would have a chance to clear her mind, and think about what to do next, now that her cover was blown.
