"You look happy today. What's got you going?" Tae greeted Jungkook when the younger went out of his room. He was feeling better now, much better.

"Oh nothing. All that deep thinking and contemplating must not be healthy for my brain, is it? So I've decided to be carefree." Jungkook stated with a big smile.

"Carefree? That's still not healthy." Of all the things Jungkook said, that's what Tae caught up.

"Well, not really 'carefree'...I mean, just trying to...y-you know, numb myself." The atmosphere of the room shifted quickly.

"Aww Kook, stop, ok? Why don't you bring back that you that greeted me first thing this morning?" The older reassured him making the younger let out a small laugh.

"I have to go." Jungkook replied which caugh the attention of the older one.

"What? It's 6:30 in the morning and you haven't eaten your breakfast yet" Tae was confused, to say the least, Jungkook had never left early before, ever. And considering that the sun has not completely risen yet, it made him kind of afraid.

"I just needs some fresh air, that's all. And I'll stumble by the coffee shop at the campus later." Jungkook said, raising his eyebrows as a signal that he would be ok. Tae understood it, so he let him out.

As soon as Jungkook was out, he started weighing things. I like Jimin, like a lot. But he has a girlfriend now. Well, technically, Jungkook, it just means that he doesn't like you back and he wants another person. But that kiss. That kiss probably and most certainly did not mean anything. Jungkook thought, the two sides of his brain fighting. He was so lost in thought that he accidentally stumbled on someone, making the one opposite him lose her grip on her notebooks and everything fell.

"I-I'm so sorry. I'm so clumsy, I should've watched where i was going." He said while collecting the notebooks on the ground, and once he looked up to see who it was he stumbled upon. He froze, not expecting it.

"No, it's okay. Thank you, anyway." Lace replied, getting the notebooks from Jungkooks hand. "I'm Lace, by the way." She continued and held out her hand for a handshake.

"Jungkook." He said and shook her hand. "Anyway, I-I'm so sorry again. I have to go, bye." He was not able to hold himself and he would not prolong that conversation with someone who he views as his archenemy, after all, she was the one Jimin chose.

His feet did not take him to school, well he never really intended on going early, he just wanted to make up an excuse. He went to the old and rustic bench under the tree near the park. He would always go there if he seemed down at the moment, this day was perfect for that. It was peaceful, he cannot hear the honks of cars as the main road was too far from where the bench was. He kept his head down for a while, not caring about the passersby.

"I didn't expect to see you here." Someone said, and that someone was unmistakably in front of him.

He recognized that voice.
Of course, how could he forget.
Besides, they were owned by the person he just met earlier.
He finally looked up and saw, as expected, Lace.

"Oh hi." It was all Jungkook could muster, with a face mixed with nervousness and disgust. He couldn't prevent Lace from sitting next to him and he didn't also wanted to leave as it would make it obvious that he's ignoring her.

"I was sure I knew you somewhere." Jungkook raised an eyebrow at that statement.

"Oh yeah?" He replied.

"Yeah, you used to hang out with Jimin right?" Lace asked, unknown to all emotions it would throw at Jungkook.

Yes Jungkook was hurt, and he was supposed to be moving on, that's what he said earlier at the mirror before he left the house.

"Oh...uh...yeah! W-we were cl-close." Jungkook stuttered, still doubtful if the word 'close' could ever describe their friendship, or relationship, if we don't mind ;)

"Yeah, Jimin used to tell stories about you. He said your a good friend." He was not sure how to respond to that. Should he feel happy that Jimin viewed him as a good friend and that he told that to Lace? Or should he feel broken that Jimin only viewed him as a 'good friend'?

"Really? That's great." He tried to fake a smile, but failed miserably.

"Yeah. Umm...Is it okay if I ask? I mean...if it's too personal, you don't need to answer." The both of them were doubting. Lace doubted if she should have asked and Jungkook was doubting if he should even think of an answer.

With Jungkook not wanting to make Lace uncomfortable and not wanting to be viewed as a social freak, he responded with "Ok, shoot."

"I can see that you're feeling down earlier when I met you, I thought it was just because of the incident but, I can still see that look in your eyes now. Can I ask what's wrong?" Jungkook was not shocked at all, he knew she would notice. He opened his mouth, but closed them back as soon as he couldn't think of the right words.
Finally, he was able to reply.

"Well, something's been eating me up lately and I know it's stupid and I don't want to talk about it because I think it would only make things worse if I share to someone who's not interested but I also want to share because I don't think I can handle it on my own." He was shocked, with the fact that he shared almost everything he's feeling with someone he just met and how he is feeling comfortable around her.

"I know this is not my place to say, but I'd be willing to listen, but I also know that you're probably thinking that we just met, so I won't force you. So how about we get to know each other before----" Lace was cut off with another familiar voice to Jungkook.

"Hey! There you are." It was unmistakably Jimin's. He probably didn't notice Jungkook because the younger had his head held down after he shared everything.

"Hi!" Lace replied, and Jungkook knows that Jimin would have been in front of them by now because of the sound of somebody kissing somebody else's cheeks, he knew he couldn't remain in that position until they go away because Lace would bring him up so he, after hesitating at first, raised his head up, only to meet Jimin's eyes.

"O-oh! H-hello Kookie." Jimin stuttered while spitting those words out, his heart pounding like it was wanting to be released from its ribcage.

How Jimin said his nickname always made the younger's heart swell, making a blush crawl up his face.

"Yeah! I-i...I think i should be going. Don't wanna ruin the moment here" Jungkook said while grabbing his backpack and standing up. Those words he just said hurt him, but he need to hide it.

"N-NO!" Jimin exclaimed quickly, too loud for the three of them."I mean, no, yo-you're not ruining anything." He gathered himself, also not wanting to show his nervousness, although it's a little bit obvious now.

"No...umm, I also have to go to the coffee shop. I haven't eaten this morning." Jungkook replied after bowing to the both of them.

"What? Why didn't you eat?" Jimin said, face flushed with concern. Jungkook just stared at him, with his eyebrows raised and a little furrowed.

Jimin realized his mistake, he shouldn't care. Well, he thinks he shouldn't when knows he should.
