Taehyung waited for Jungkook, still laying down and staring at the ceiling. Tears threatened to fall but he held it in while whispering to himself. "I'm sorry." He said repeatedly.
Truth is, he heard Hoseok's confession. He heard everything, but all he could think of was regret on his actions for trying to kiss Hoseok. No matter what Jungkook did, he still loves him.
He didn't want to hurt Hoseok by not being able to return his feelings but his mind and heart still longed for Jungkook and he was not ready to move on. He was not ready to love. He can't see himself loving anyone else other than Jungkook.
He realized that he had moved on from Jimin. It was just the pain and the memories that he thought he wanted Jimin back when all he needed was closure. He had a stable relationship with Jungkook, but he too made a mistake when he let Jungkook's word, from when he confessed, get to him and clouded his mind.
All he wants is Jungkook now. However, he is afraid that Jungkook would still go with Jimin. But he needed to be brave and risk his feelings once more. Then he remembered Hoseok's story, how he risked everything for Yoongi. He didn't want to end up like him, but he had no other choice at the moment. Well, he thought he didn't.
Hoseok was there and would be willing to help him out, but he seemed to long for Jungkook only. He knew this would hurt Hoseok, but he only wanted Jungkook.
"Taehyung, are you okay?" Jungkook ran and hug Taehyung.
He was snapped out of his deep thoughts and he hugged Jungkook back. He looked over the younger's shoulder and saw Jimin looking down and Hoseok looking at them with a sad smile.
"I love you Jungkook." He cried out as the three was shocked. Jungkook hugged him tighter.
Jungkook felt guilty for every problem he caused to Taehyung. He was glad Taehyung was alright, but he felt bad for Jimin too. However, he was overweighed with the feeling of joy that he couldn't think straight.
"I love you too." Jungkook uttered mindlessly. Taehyung was shocked but he cherished it.
Jimin and Hoseok were both hurt. Jimin glued his gaze on his shoes and wandered to the tear that escaped his eye and down to the floor. Hoseok kept silent, his sad smile never faltering, while on the inside he's crumbling.
He never thought it would be this painful. He gave his love to another person after finally moving on, only to have it thrown as soon as it was given.
"I'm glad you're here." Taehyung said before breaking the hug and looking straight at Jungkook's eyes.
"I'm glad you're okay." Jungkook smiled and Taehyung mirrored it. Taehyung cupped Jungkook's face as he moved closer and touched foreheads.
"Does this mean you'll take me back?"
The question shocked all of them, including Jungkook.
Jungkook made his mistakes, and he felt ashamed of that. He didn't want to hurt his best friend and now ex-boyfriend, but he did.
"We'll give you two some privacy." Jimin's voice cracked, his eyes still not leaving the floor as he made his way outside. Hoseok followed behind him.
"Kook." Tae hung his head from embarrassment. He didn't know what Jungkook would respond, but he needed to be strong. "Please tell me you want me back." Tears started to well in his eyes.
Jungkook stood there speechless, but seeing the older slowly break in front of him made him feel like the worst person. He was guilty for Taehyung's pain that made him vulnerable and fragile.
He loves Jimin, he always had. But before Jimin returned, he was starting to enjoy his life and relationship with Tae. He started to remember all the times that Taehyung would be there to listen to him brag or cry about Jimin. He was always there when the younger talked out his feelings. But he didn't know every time he did this, he was breaking Taehyung too.
His love for Taehyung might not be as much as his love for Jimin, but it was now time to make a decision. A decision that his heart and mind would be conformed with. A decision that would clean his conscience and fix his senses.
He took a deep breath. He fixed his mind. There's no turning back. He sighed. "It has always been you, babe." He said with a confident smile.
Taehyung was proud of himself. He was strong enough to confront the man of his dreams. He was lucky to have Jungkook beside him. He was glad that after all of his doubts, he still chose him.
Meanwhile, Jimin was crying on Hoseok's shoulder outside. Hoseok knew his pain. Both of them are hurting but one should be strong for the other.
"I... I'm so s-stupid." Jimin cried as he mumbled those words, clinging onto Hoseok's shirt.
"Shhh. It's not your fault, Jimin." Hoseok tried to reassure the younger but he only shook his head. He pulled away from Hoseok's shoulder and faced him.
"N-No! It has a-always been m-my fault." He sobbed continuously while shaking. "If o-only, I didn't make th-that stupid d-decision of m-making him j-jealous....then....this w-wouldn't happen." He raised his voice as tears slide down his face freely.
"Sometimes, we all make decisions we will later regret. I shouldn't have let myself fall that fast." Hoseok started to tremble. He wanted to cry, but he didn't want to be weak. He wants to hold it in. He had shed enough tears for love, and he was not doing it anymore.
Jimin continued crying, but he understood what Hoseok meant. He noticed the way Hoseok looked at Taehyung earlier, and he knew immediately that Hoseok has fell hard.
"But...I-I deserve this." Jimin stated, wiping his eyes and nose and starting to calm down. "I-I invaded their lives w-when they were already h-happy. It's my fault t-that they broke up in the first place. It's also my fault that......I assumed it would all go my way and h-have Jungkook."
Hoseok didn't say anything and only comforted Jimin. The silence was calming between them. Hoseok smiled at Jimin. "Don't worry. The right one will come to you." Jimin nodded.
Hoseok sighed. "Well. I think I should probably leave, I did what I can and I'm not needed here anymore. Take care of yourself, Jimin." Hoseok stood up and smiled at Jimin before walking to the elevator, waving goodbye to Jimin one last time.
Hoseok entered the elevator, his smile leaving after the doors closed. Tears started to fall uncontrollably as he slid down the wall. There was no one to blame except himself for raising his expectations. He hoped to find love in Taehyung, only to be rejected again. But life goes on, no matter what pain you encounter.
Jimin was left alone at the benches, staring into nothing. In his mind, he thought of all he did in the past. From leaving Tae, making Jungkook jealous and invading their relationship. For someone who had done so many bad decisions, regret was a familiar friend.
He was interrupted from his thoughts when a nurse came up to him.
"You're Mr. Kim Taehyung's friend right? You came here to visit him. Yeah, I need you to give this to him. It's the receipt of his payment and tell him that he can leave as soon as he wants." The nurse stated before running off.
Jimin thought that they must have an urgent meeting or they were just busy so he shrugged it off. He then thought about the receipt and wondered who payed it. He opened the receipt, and smiled as he saw the name and signature of Jung Hoseok.
Even during his rough times, Hoseok still cared. He still helped. Even during pain, he was kind and pure. He wouldn't let one bad part of his life change him into someone else. If he wanted change, he only wanted to be stronger in the future, to be able to withstand the storm.
Jimin stood in front of the door to Tae's roon. He brought this upon himself and he needs to be strong. He slowly opened the door and saw Taehyung and Jungkook talking softly, both smiling and their hands linked while their fingers intertwined.
He approached the both and cleared his throat, gaining both their attention as he put on a fake smile, covering his real emotions.
