'paperboat'

~~~
I
was once
a blank page
like many others
in your pocket diary.
Diary, which you carried
all your life, but wrote so little
and only the important things...
the random voices of your heart
an account of all your heartbreaks
and those bubble bursting moments.
So, I waited for my turn, counted days
and seasons, and listened carefully
to those songs which you sang
in your solitude, scratching
the edge of your pen
on the pages
I waited.
And when the day came,
you tore me apart from the diary
and made me a beautiful paper boat.
and escaped the deceitful world.
forever,
you and me, together,
sailed those surreal oceans
and fought with the sky demons
Happy we were,
as it all felt so real and smooth
and soothing, and we wanted to go on
like a dream, but that's what we were,
a dream,
I was your dream,
and you were mine.
But the dream ends,
and I am again
a blank page,
of your diary
and I wait for my turn.
