Cities are meant for love,
not war!
The lanes we walked,
the tombs, we climbed,
the walls, we touched,
the roofs, we jumped,
were all longing for our
love and care and compassion,
don't you see?

Cities are meant for love,
not war!
The blood on the walls,
the flesh on the roads,
the cries on the corners,
the whispers, the wailing,
the sadness, the remorse
were not what we dreamed,
don't you see?

Now, tell me, O Messiah,
the fate of my city,
what do you see in your
great visions and prophesies,
the lost sons of love
or the newly found letters of
death!
