Like always Jun was sat under his tree, strumming with his ukulele.

He wasn't strumming in any particular order, just whatever came to him.

He watched as teenagers ran everywhere but like always she caught his eye.

Her beautiful long hair that went down to her lower back. The ways her eyes seemed to always shine. Even on the darkest of days.

He wished he could approach her.

But he never did.

He was the Ukulele Boy after all. No one liked him. Just a face in the crowd that everyone avoided.

What was he worth?

Nothing.

And her? She was beautiful, popular, kind. He didn't deserve her. Not to mention there were plenty of other guys who wanted her.

The bell went signalling the end of lunch. He sighed before heading to class.
