Kendall and I stood in the French Quarter and looked down onto the witches who gathered around and waited for us to began our speach.

When Lucien had resurrected me, he promised me something in return. I wasn't positively sure that he'd get it to me, but it was worth the try.

"Can I have everyone's attention?" Kendall called as she slid her phone into her pocket. The witches gave Kendall and me their attention and eased up the talking. "As you all know, the Mikaelson's have-"

"Not returned to New Orleans." I cut Kendall off causing her to look at me as if I had grown two heads. "Instead, Lucien just to decided to pick a fight. There's a prophecy, one that will be the end of the Mikaelson's for good. However, in order to do that, you will all need to have some kind of positive input in Lucien's plan."

"And if we don't?" One of the witches asked. I knew that she was Maxine.

"If you don't...there won't be any consequences." I nodded honestly making Kendall even more tense. "I'm not Lucien, nor the ancestors. I will not force you to do anything that you are in capable of."

The quarter had grown silent and Maxine nodded her head. If she told me that she wanted to help, I'd know that she'd be lying.

"I'm down." One of the witches in the back raised her hand and walked forward.

"Me too." Another agreed. As more witches agreed to help, Kendall was impressed with my reverse psychology.

"What happened the hell in there?" Vincent asked as Freya and I followed him into one of the guest bedrooms in my home. He'd been speaking to Devin about what happened to this Jake character.

"I don't think that place is anything like the other side." Devin implied as she had taken the cup of blood from Vincent.

"The other side?" Freya questioned. "Why are you guys on the other side?"

"To get Kaelin." Devin stated bluntly. "We only recently discovered that it wasn't as destroyed as we thought when we tried to cheat our way into New Orleans. But this other side is way different."

"Elaborate." I commanded, inserting one of my hands into the pocket of my dark gray tux.

Freya was still in shock about the alternative of bringing back the love of her life. Maybe her first, but who knows what happened to the father of her child.

Devin quickly drank the blood and sat the cup down on the night stand next to the bed where Jake had been lying sound asleep.

"Darnell was there." Devin nodded. "Kaelin was there...but...she was dead. Darnell obviously killed her a second time and now I don't think we're gonna be able to bring her back. Unless you're strong enough to go through that process of dark magic-"

"What happened to Josh?" I cut Devin off and changed the subject impulsively.

"Darnell bit him." She replied. "And also." Devin stood up from the edge of the bed. "I think you should check and see if you're barrier is still up. When I was in that place, it kind of shattered."

"What?" Vincent questioned. "Barriers don't just shatter."

"Unless..." Freya mumbled. She began to shake her head. "No, no that's impossible."
