Later that day, Emma and Regina went home with their children and spent the night relaxing from the rollercoaster of emotions that the last few months have been. The blonde gave the ring to her fiancee who started to cry first thing when she saw it. The next couple of months went by without much stress, Emma was back at the station while Regina would work from home so she could watch over a now four months old Aiden. Henry was more than happy for having his mothers together and Jacob was working his hardest to find evidence that Daniel was in fact involved in the Sheriff's accident. As for Daniel, he hasn't been much around since the divorce was finalized and since Henry didn't ask for his father anymore he couldn't find a reason to step foot in the family.

Regina was at the dinner having lunch with Katherine discussing wedding preparations, especially her wedding dress since that was the only thing she completely refused to let Emma help her with. The blonde did try to know how the brunette's gown would look like, but every attempt was immediately shut down by Regina.

"Why is this so hard, Kat? I don't think I have ever seen so many dresses and the more I see the harder it is to find the perfect one."

"Have you considered to have it custom made? Lots of people do it, even tho it is more expensive."

"I don't know. Something just feels off about the whole thing. I feel like something is wrong...", the brunette admitted taking a bite of her food. Katherine studied her friend's expression trying to figure what could possibly be off about the whole thing.

"Well, let's suppose there is something off. Did you ever thought that maybe it has nothing to do with the dress or even the wedding itself?", at her friend's confused expression she carried on, " maybe what is wrong is the way thing developed. I mean, when Emma proposed to you, you two weren't even together per say. And before you say anything, I am not saying that it was wrong from Emma to propose or from you to say yes. But maybe you wanted to be the one to fix things and be able to propose to Emma." She finished and just waited for any kind of reaction from the woman sitting across from her who was currently lost in thought.

"Emma deserves better. And I am not even saying she deserves someone better than me, she simply deserves better in general. She deserves to be treated right. She deserves to have someone propose to her." Regina said while a smile spread across her face, " and propose to her is what I shall do!" she said just as she got out of the booth and walked out of the dinner without looking back.

"Of course I'll pay for your food, Regina!" Katherine said with an eye roll but couldn't suppress the smile that crept on her face.

After leaving the dinner, Regina drove to the nearest ring shop with the hopes she could find a ring right away, she didn't want to lose any more time. She and Emma were finally together, happy and are getting closer every passing day. Regina went home right after she got the ring and when she got there the kids were already upstairs, Henry playing a game and Aiden sleeping.

"Where were you?" Emma asked with a frown when Regina made her way into the kitchen where Emma was doing the dishes.

"I had to take care of something.", she said wrapping her arms around Emma from behind placing a kiss on the back of Emma's neck.

"And can I know what that something was?" Emma asked turning the water off, drying her hands and turning in Regina's arms so they were facing one another.

"Well, since that something is for you I guess you're bound to know what it is," Regina said and walked out of the kitchen leaving Emma with a suspicious look on her face behind.

"What does that even mean?!", she asked but got no answer. When later that night she went to bed, Regina was sitting in the middle of the bed wearing one of Emma's favourites nightgowns. Emma walked over to the bed and sat in front of her fiancee. "So... do I get to know what you were doing all afternoon?" she asked placing her hands over Regina's tighs and stroking them gently.
