AN: Moments, not Confessions.
"Hibari-senpai, Why does Kusakabe-senpai get to call you Kyo-san?"
Slouching lazily on the couch, Rei sighed. A purple blanket was draped over him-- as usual, it just appeared anytime he fell asleep in the Reception room-- but he didn't feel like getting up just yet.
"It is none of your concern," Hibari responded dismissively, returning to his paperwork.
A moment of silence-- Rei eyed the prefect intently, watching the older boy do his work. It was a cool sight to see-- the cool, calm and stoic character, seemingly cold and violent-- but now he was doing his work, he seemed focused and passionate as any other attractive man.
"Hey, Hibari-senpai, can I call you by name?" Rei questioned.
"Do as you wish, I see no meaning to it." Another dismissive comment, and he was back to his work mode. Seems he was a busy man today.
But Hibari was the exact opposite of Gokudera. Hibari didn't really hit Rei as the type to let just anyone call him by first name, though... Hmm, strange.
"Kyoya-senpai," he tried calling softly as first.
The prefect made no movement in response. Not a twitch, not even a raised eyebrow in acknowledgement.
"Kyoya-san?" Rei tried again. Receiving no reaction as well, he continued. "Kyoya-kun? Kyoya-chan?"
It was miraculous that Hibari didn't respond to 'Kyoya-chan'. But Rei decided to keep going.
"Kyoya-nii? Kyo-nii?" he suggested, "Kyo-chan, Kyo-kun... Kyocchi, Kyoyacchi?" coming up with typical nicknames one after another, Re made sure to speak at a reasonable volume.
"Kyo-pon," Rei chuckled, "Kyo-tan..."
But really, the lack of reaction was getting a bit boring.
Sitting up, Rei thought for a long moment.
"...Kyoya?" he called.
Instantly, Hibari bolted from his seat, tonfas bared, charging towards Rei-- in one quick movement, Rei was pinned in place, one tonfa at his neck, the other pressing down at his right hand by the wrist.
"Don't push your luck, herbivore," he threatened.
"Seriously?" Rei couldn't resist groaning in exasperation, eyes rolling over his head. "All those names and THIS is what gets you?"
