If I stand all alone will the shadows hide the color of my heart
Will they be blue for the tears
Black for the nights we spent apart
And the stars don't mean nothing to you. They're a mirror.

Constance quietly sang to herself while writing her Potions homework on the floor behind a warderobe in the Room of Requirement. She adored
the song and couldn't help but sing along even if there were another pair of ears in the room.

But as quite as she was the other occupant didn't seem to happy about the song choice. "Ugh, why must you always listen to this music?" the boy complained.

Constance quickly stopped her humming and crossed her hands ready to fight him on this one," What is that supposed to mean?"

Regulus sat himself upright and continued,"All those muggles do is complain about their lives. They complain about women who left them, about being alone, having no one... All they do is cry."

Constance shook her head in confusion," First off they do not complain. Second why is that so bad? They're only trying to express their feelings through a song. I don't see that as a bad thing."

Regulus rolled his eyes and lowered the volume of the song,"It's humiliating. I mean no real man should show their broken. A man should always be strong and every emotion they show is a weakness for the enemy to use."

The girl was taken aback at the answer. She knew he had the purity beliefs, however this statment just seemed ridiculus to her. "Oh Merlin help me," she muttered before finding the words to answer. "I don't take emotion as weakness and neither should you. I mean... Muggles like wizards need to express their feelings. Of course as you may have expressed yours by breaking a stool or two in this room they, or rather Rod Stewart who sings this song, express theirself through a song, which can help so many others. It can make them relate, understand ones feelings.

I mean sure some take this as a weakness, cowardness even. But in my opinion the biggest act of bravery or trust may just be by expressing and showing how you feel to others. You know when someone is called a hero... They are not called a hero because they hid their emotions. No they are heroes because they acted on those. They let the emotions good or bad sink in."

Silence followed the girl's speech at first as Regulus' mind tried to wrap around her words. It wasn't that he hated the song, it was the feeling that surfaced when he listened to it.

"Are you still there?" Constance worriedly asked afraid shehad overstepped the bounderies yet again.

"Yes," the boy responded while just staring into blank space. "But I guess we'll have to agree to disagree," he numbly added probably not even knowing what he said.

"As always," the girl smiled as did the boy when he heard her statment.

He chuckled,"As always." However as quickly as his smile came it went realising that even a smile could show weakness in his future.

"Anyway did you read the part?" the girl asked leaning back waiting for the boy's answer.

"Yes," he said nodding after realising she couldn't see him.

Usually the boy was bursting with remarks whether they were good or bad. He practicly had no filther. Yet this time he stayed quiet.
"Annd...?" Constance streched the word.

"I don't understand it," he stated.

"What? Was it that poorly written?" the Hufflepuff panicked almost ready to stand up and take the book from the boys hands.

"No, no the wording was great. It's just... If you are so curious about something wouldn't that over run the fear? I mean no offence, but if you walked half the way why not finish it?"

Constance thought back to her situation at the house unable to answer him. Somehow she had got herself to think it was so irrational that she turned around and went completely abandoning her instincts.

"If I were Gueneviere I would have just went for it. No point in over-thinking it,"  the boy added.

Constance only nodded. Her thoughts already in another place.

~~~
As she stood that exact day in the spot she had been a day before she thought of the boy and his words.
Yes, he had some moments, no most moments when he was completely stubborn and wrong, however for once he might have just been right.
Wind was blowing in her face picking up her hair making it fly around her.
Slowly she took a step forward towards the house and before she could even start regretting it she was at the front door already knocking
Slowly she took a step forward towards the house and before she could even start regretting it she was at the front door already knocking.
Her heart was pounding like never before. So much even she thought it was going to jump out of her chest. And after what seemed like hours, but was probably only a minute, she heard someone unlocking the door from the inside.
Slowly she inhaled one last time to calm herself down just before the door was opened. Showing her someone she was not expecting. The surprise was so big she was almost ready to run.
"Can I help you?"
