Never alone (Cullen x Ellana lavellan)

One shot under the stars

(This is just a short chapter for now I'm working on a really long chapter right now but school is getting on my nerves)
-This takes place afterhaven -
Ellana POV
My bones ached from falling down into that crevice it was cold enough I could see my breath in the air the cold filling my lungs I was laying on the ground I tried to get up but i felt a jolt of pain coming from my side
Ellana-"AAaarge! "
"I have to ignore the pain press forward"

walking through the cave some demons appeared throwing me back the anchor urged my hand up using the anchor I defeated the demons pressing forward out of the cave the Icy wing moving my messy hair with it I saw some lanterns in the distance so I kept marching through the the blizzard piercing my armor the cold seeping through there was a camp fire I felt the ashes still warm approaching the rocky path I was getting so tired I fell into the snow my eyes felt so heavy
Looking up into the sky the snow falling on my skin but doesn't feel cold suddenly I heard some yelling and drifted away

I woke a couple minutes later only barely looking up at Cullen he was holding me with a worried look on his face
I lifted my hand up to his cheek and said
Ellana-"Cullen... "
After that I fell asleep in His arms rushing me into the medical tent

Cullen POV
"Ellana was so cold I am so afraid if she doesn't make it but she opened her eyes at me.. ugh I would feel better if I had something to do all the soldiers are resting after.. what they had been through"
Cassandra leliana and Josephine were at a table arguing when mother giselle appeared speaking I couldn't make out anything they were saying so I walked a little closer

Mother Giselle-" you need a leader and she seems the best fit to do so" she said walking away into the heralds tent with herbs in hand
Cassandra-" I see... "
" are they going to make her leader of the inquisition after she stared into the eyes of corruption and death it self only to be given the burden of leadership" I let out a large sigh
*2 hours later*
I was by the table that was our war table for the time being looking over it trying to make sense of all this but instead of looking down I looked up at the sky it was peaceful... lights danced in the sky but I wondered what was the makers plan for us lavellan was going to be the inquisitions leader she didn't really have a choice with the hand Anchor mark I felt sorrow for her she was first called a prisoner and now we are making her leader I want to take that away from her she deserves so much more than that. Then I saw lavellan at the cornered my eye she looked worn out tired her hair a bit messy she had a blanket around her she must still be cold she walked through the camp and out I followed without thinking

<Ellana POV >
Upon awaking I was still a bit cold even though I had 5 blankets piled on me I tried sitting up I my body felt bused from that fall I had and had a headache I felt I should at least make a appearance so I took my soft blanket wrapping it around myself and out the tent I was tired but I needed a walk and take in everything I was out of the camp by now I had a good View from up here looking at the sky the delicate blue and green lights dancing in the sky that stars shining just as bright I let out a long sign and said " I can't believe I made it through all that" then I heard a branch snap turning around to see Cullen standing there with a Flushed look on his face

Cullen-" sorry.. I was looking at the sky "
Ellana lavellan-" it's fine I don't mind the sky is very peaceful tonight"
Cullen-"are you feeling better I hope?"
Ellana lavellan-"nothing but a headache from the fall"
Cullen asked worryingly "you fell ?"
Ellana lavellan-"that's how I survived the avalanche I fell into a small cavern that led me outside in a blizzard which I wasn't prepared for"
I felt my heart ache I was on the verge of freezing to death I just hope this will get easier in the long run
Cullen looked at me as if he was looking for something a sign of recognition he took my hands in both of his it was.. warm then placed a small kiss on my knuckles causing me to blush so I looked away
Cullen-" I am very grateful for your return Ellana"
"There he said my name everyone has been calling me Herald or just lavellan this past few months"
Ellana lavellan-" I am happy that you made it out as well cullen"
Once I said that I placed a kiss on his cheek then left to go get some sleep but with my mind was running wild after the events that just transpired I doubt it will do any good
