Liar

You touched my heart
In ways that others did not.

I felt like I was important
When you embraced me.

You filled me with beautiful worlds
But they were never real.
At least not to you.

I believe in your lying tongue. You're smile blinding my perception.

I should have known better.
That's what I tell myself.

But how can one know when a snake
Embodies a lovely boy.

I need to move on, but all I can think about is you.

You cloud my mind and cause the rain storms that drown out the other thoughts.

You made waves in my calm waters and cracks in my concrete.

Nothing can settle a wave and nothing can put concrete back together the way it was before.

You changed me and I don't love it. I need to get over you.
