Heart of Gold

She's only 14 years old,

and she already has a heart of gold.

People take that for granted;

With every kick she needs a bandage.

Through it all she's still nice,

They think her love has no price.

All she wants is quality time,

but instead she writes these rhymes.

She's pure, and so very innocent;

they pluck her like a stringed instrument.

Her heart weighs a lot,it has ever since she was a tot.

People don't see her value,

she's the only one with a tattoo.

She doesn't understand,

Why no one wants to take her hand.

She thinks of suicide;

but why would she give them pride?She looks to the sky,

and really wants to cry.

The words hurt her heart,

they sting more than a dart.

She hides beneath the hood,

'cause people burn her good.

She lost track of her own pace,

and untied her own lace.

She tripped and fell,

for a while she's been in Hell.

She has a heart of gold,

and she's not that old.

Treat her nice,

or you'll be paying the price.
