Pietro - Just Because I Can

"Beautiful!" I heard a voice say from behind me just before I felt air being pushed my way.

Definitely Pietro.

"Hey, beautiful," he greeted, wrapping my shoulders with his arm as he slowed down to match my pace.

I blushed a bit, and he thankfully didn't seem to notice.

"I have to go to Tony's office. I'll be out in a bit, okay? Wait for me," I said to him, and he giddily nodded before plopping himself on a chair.

I walked into Tony's office, and the sight of Bucky and Steve literally millimeters from each other's lips scarred my mind forever.

"(Y/N)! You know you could've knocked," Bucky said sheepishly as Steve blushed beet red behind him.

"I... uh, I'll go," I said quickly, and just as I was about to open the door, someone crashed into me.

"Oh, God, I'm so sorry. (Y/N), are you okay? You're not hurt, right?" Tony asked, clearly concerned.

"Nope. I'm fine, I just need an ice pack," I replied, dusting myself off as I stood up.

"I can get it for you, maybe?"

"Nah, it's okay. I'll look for my USB somewhere else," I declined, nodding towards the tangled up super-soldiers behind me, earning raised eyebrows from Tony. "See ya around," I muttered quickly, and walked out the door.

"My love! Are you okay?"

I laughed lightly. "I'm okay, Piet. Stop worrying-"

I felt his lips on mine.

"What was that for?" I asked breathlessly, leaning closer towards him.

He smiled, saying,"I don't know... it's just that I can't believe that I'm your man and I get to kiss you just because I can."

I laughed,"Isn't that from a song?"

"Stop it, I'm trying to be romantic," he said with a laugh.

"Well, why don't you try it out one more time? Just to be sure that you actually can kiss me, you know?"

He chuckled, pulling me in by the waist as I wrapped my arms around his neck.

"Gladly."
