Bucky - A Christmas Surprise

Hello, hello! I'm sorry I can't upload the other two imagines today, but they'll be up tomorrow, I promise! The idea for this one is give by my best friend (who's way more creative than I am, by the way) - just thought I should give her some credit for it. Hope you guys like this one!

"Hey, doll," Bucky greets as he unlocks the front door of the small apartment you both have been staying in for a while.

"Bucky!" you exclaim happily, wrapping your arms around your partner-in-crime, both figuratively and literally.

"Missed me?" he teases with a lopsided smile.

"Mhm," you hum, pressing a kiss on his lips.

He practically melts into the kiss, his lips forming a small smile as he continues to pepper your face with kisses once you've pulled away.

"You know what else I miss?" you ask innocently.

He urges you to continue with a nod of his head, his smile still plastered on his face so beautifully.

"Snow," you tell him. "It's been, what, a few years?" you ask, doing the math in your head.

"Yeah," he answers, deep in thought. "I kinda miss it, too."

Being on the run from a mission has never been an easy thing to do. You move from place to place frequently, changing your passports, moving your things. It's all a big hassle, but hey, it allows you to have the little bit of freedom you have left.

"I wonder how the team's doing," you think out loud. "We haven't talked to them for years."

"I'm sorry that I brought you into this." Bucky wraps his arms around you, looking into your eyes. "This was all on me."

"No, hun. I chose to follow you," you reply. "Besides, I can't say I'm not having a good time with you by my side."

He grins, pecking your lips. "You're too good for me."

"Nope, not having any of that today," you say playfully. "I have to go to the store to pick up some groceries-"

"No!" he exclaims suddenly. "Sorry," he apologizes shamefully. "I mean, let me do it," he continues. "I have a plan," he adds mischievously.

"A plan?" you ask, raising your eyebrows.

"Yep! And that plan requires you to go out with some of your friends 'cause they've been blowing up my phone."

"Your phone?"

"Mhm. Said they couldn't get to you," he replies simply. "Go check your phone, doll. Maybe you left it on airplane mode."

"My man's finally staring to know technology terms. I'm proud," you say, seeing him roll his eyes as he lets out a chuckle.

"Off you go. Be back after four, okay?" He motions to the front door.

"Why four?"

"Sh, just trust me."

Bucky's had this plan for a few months now.

With you out with your friends (which he also meticulously arranged), he heads to the grocery story to buy everything on your grocery list, along with a lot more things that he needs for the surprise.

Now, being on one of the tropical islands of Indonesia has its pros and cons.

Pros: everything is cheap when compared to the US and people are often friendlier.

Cons: the small town you both live in have barely any English-speakers.

So, this is going to be one hell of a task.
