Another hectic day at the cafe and we're going home soon. Joong-ki and I bid farewell to the rest of the girl at the counter – by the way, I found out her name, it's Hye-sung – and leave the premise together.

"Oh my God, I am exhausted!" I say as I stretch and exhale loudly. I hear a moan from my side. Turns out I hit something solid while stretching my arms – Joong-ki's head.

"You have long arms for a shorty," he says and then laughs. I narrow my eyes at him. "You know you're not intimidating me, right?" he says. I stick my tongue out. For a child, that's a sign of rebellion. For me, that's a sign of I-don't-care-what-you-say.

"Hey by the way, can I borrow your report? The one we did today?" I ask. He stops his track and digs into his bag.

"Found it! Here," he replies as he hands it to me immediately.

"Tha—" I don't even get to finish my sentence when someone puts his or her hand around my shoulders out of the blue. My mind only wanders to one person. I turn around. As expected, it's Chung-ho. I don't know whether to be annoyed or happy when I see this dude. I'm annoyed because he keeps bugging me especially when I'm talking to someone else. I can be happy if I want to since he confessed to me last night. Oh God, I have no idea what to do with this guy!

"Hey, Cassie," he says, his left arm wrapped around my shoulders. "Joong-ki ah," he addresses politely. Joong-ki's lips form a line and then, he rolls his eyes.

"Hey," I reply. "What are you doing here anyway? Shouldn't you be home by now?" I ask.

"Oh, I have a band meeting earlier at school. Plus, I was waiting for you," he says. A band? Wow.

"You're in a band? What kind of band?" I have to admit, music rouse my interest. Chug-ho's eyes gleams passionately.

"Basically, it's a boyband. Like the one you see on TV. Yeah...you should come watch us sometimes," he suggests.

"That's so cool! I can come and watch? Seriously?" I ask, looking at him.

"Sure, you can come. By the way, we'll be performing tomorrow night at the school talent show," he says, widely smiling. His grip on me tightens somewhat.

I realise Joong-ki hasn't spoken a word so I turn to him and say, "Joong-ki, we should go watch them tomorrow night. Would you want to come?" I ask. I hear him sigh.

"We're working tomorrow, remember?" he replies.

"Oh, come on... We can take a day off, I mean, a night off," I say. I start tugging on his blazer while pleading, "Please..."

"Oh God...Fine, we'll go."

"Yay! Thank you!" I hug him really tight as a thank you. It's not even awkward, at least not for me.

"Great, both of you. So, see you at the auditorium at seven tomorrow night?" Chung-ho interrupts.

"Yes!" I say.

I cannot wait!

As we both agreed, we asked our boss for a night off. We told him we have an event running at school and we were allowed to leave. Yay for that!

We enter the auditorium and it's very loud. There are students and teachers everywhere. I see few students on their guitars and keyboards, singing while some others are dancing along with the beat resonating in their ears. These people are extremely talented. From where I'm standing, I overhear a girl's voice singing a Korean song – ballad I think – and she sings beautifully that my hair stands.
