"Red!!!! Oh my god!!!" I screamed as I reached for the sword.
"Don't touch it. Not yet. Your shadow will come and use it if you take it out now," Red hissed at me.
I let go and nodded. Of course it would! I'm an idiot. I looked around. I couldn't see the shadow but I felt it watching.
"What do we do?" I whispered.
"We wait. Normally I'd run but there's a weapon in me so it'll sit until its either bored or it thinks I'm dead," she whispered back.
I growled, "What about me?"
"Its focused on me not you!" she hissed.
Suddenly the pressure of the shadow lifted. It left. I pulled the sword out of her shoulder and she groaned. We boh stood up.
"We can't stay at the cave and we definitely can't split up!" Red said. She started running but I just stood there.
She turned, " What are you doing? We gotta go!"
I wimpered, "You're hurt. we have to patch you up!"
She stopped and sighed. I helped her wrap leaves around her wounds substituting bandages. We started running. God, my arm. I forgot to wrap up my arm!
My vision blurred, I slowed down, and swayed. Red was losing stamina fast and then she saw my arm. Her eyes widened and I screamed. The world went black.
Daylight. I see daylight. I turn and see Red talking to a boy. He's almost as tall as Red. He has scruffy sandy blond hair and black eyes. I couldn't see any other details necause the world went black again.
