Red shook her head and one eye returned to blue.
"Sorry. We should go now," she whispered.
We all stood up and starting running again. Why did my life have to get so complicated AFTER 14 years spent running.
Then I heard one two many pairs of footsteps and felt the pressure. I stopped.
"It's here. The shadow found us!!! We're goners!!" I shrieked and started crying.
Everyone stopped, turned, and their eyes widened.
"Well. Two wolves, a Syren, and Sky. I think this will be fun," an echoing voice from behind me said.
I tensed up. That has to be the shadow. Wait. He said what they were but he just said my name not that I was human.
"I've never heard you speak shadow," I said with a shaky voice.
"Shadow? I like it," it said. I felt a hand on my shoulder. The hair on the back of my neck stood up.
"Maybe I should leave," it whispered in my ear. It sounded like a guy. That scared me.
I nodded.
"I will go. But first.....a gift." He turned me to face him.
Shadow had starless night sky colored eyes, black hair, and was taller than Red. He seemed to glow with darkness.
Shadow smiled and kissed me on the lips. A warm chill ran down my spine. He pulled away.
"Until next time," he whispered and then disappeared.
I was so freaked out that I fainted. And Shadow was in my dream.
