I opened my mouth to speak but stopped because of a horrible pain in my stomach.
When I looked down I saw a spike made of dark earth that went through me. My blood was the only thing colorful about it.
I screamed and moved so that the spike wasn't in me. Then I looked at the others.
Mak and Aspen were being held in the air by dark branches. Red was sinking in the dirt even though it had been normal a second ago. Flora was gone.
Shadow appeared. I could clearly see every detail of him. How'd he get this power?
"I had been considering letting you live until you used that light on me. You're gonna regret that decision," Shadow hissed.
Dark, thorny branches sprung from the ground and tried to grab me. I screamed as they grabbed my arms and legs sending the thorns into them.
I clenched my fists and then fire shot down the branches burning them and releasing me.
Shadow snarled and sent a pack of shade wolves at me.
I lifted my hand in front of me and a circle of light filled with symbols appeared in front of me.
The wolves ran into it and disappeared. I closed my hand and the circle disappeared as well.
I stared at my hands. How'd I do that? I looked at Shadow and saw that he was furious.
He ran at me with a dark sword. Shadow swung.
